Projector Headlights, any good?

Check out this Link, http://matrixracing.com/BI4364Details.htm
I allready have the H4 conversion headlights, but these look alot nicer. Has anyone tried them? Just wondering because my H4 headlights give me pretty damn good lighting at night & don't want to change it for lesser performing lighting. The price also sucks!!!!!!! But does look nice.

Damn...those are kewl.
TwinturboRoc, are you going to replace all 4 lights
with projectors?

I have the H4 conversion on my car currently, but have always wanted true HID.
Now, I can buy this kit, and get some used Xenon Ballasts and Xenon bulbs and I will be set.

Dude im in love with your car... wow a clean unhit black car... man what i wouldnt do for that chassis... some day

no the projectors are going on as the low beams and te clear ones are going on as the high's.... depending on the light out put i might swap em around... ill just swap plugs from inner to outer to check... but i definately want the projectors as the lows/outer... also im doing clear signal lamps... i definately post some befor after and comparison shots...

some ?

what kinda drop is that looks intrax, maybe even a few choped off coils.... dam that thing is clean.... think im gonna use ur car as background for my pc. .....

as to the hid's eventualy when i get something like yours... clean straight and pretty... ill come up with something... or get the Xenarc HID from sylvania... probably come up with something, usualy works out cheaper...

I bought those headlights awhile ago for my 91 ta bird. You just have to make sure you put them in right side up and on the correct side or else the beam pattern is all screwy. Looks pretty cool though. I really want to get rid of my popups for some fixed HID projectors with body coloured molded fiberglass covers.

Looks like the best 4x6 HID friendly replacement headlamp parts I've seen. Most of them dont come with a glass lense. Let us know how it turns out for you. Oh yeah, nice Vert!!!

Want to save some money? These come with bulbs too. Blue sh*tty bulbs, but bulbs none the less.

EDIT: Glass faces and metal backing pieces.

ultra high wattage h4's 100w (these are advertised ratings) lows thru projectors fed by 10 gage relayed harness 120w (these are advertised ratings) thru the same for high's... sunday ill be putting em in... maybe tommorow evning ill get the lows in.... ill get better pics, most of mine are take with a digital camcorder with like 1.5-2 megapixel range... not the best but good enough... ill get some high quality pics and some detailed explinations... but the tech article is good enough.... you know those tech articles should have links to their respective sections on the boards... cause it seems that ALOT of people overlook them.

Thanks! Would like to see some closeups. Yes you can retrofit the Lexus HID's into your car and probably save some $$. I think they started becomming an option in 98 and up models (GS, LS, SC, etc). Make sure to get the ballasts too.

The problem with those "projector" headlight conversions is they lens itself isn't sealed. It's just the lens sitting inside the whole housing. There isn't anything surrounding the bulb forcing the light to just exit through the projector lens. So you're going to get ALOT of glare and weird reflection if you just stick an HID bulb in there. If you want really nice cutoff lines and good looking install you need to mount some actual projectors from those cars in these housings. If you really had some cash you could go with four bi-xenon projectors and get highs/lows coming from all the lights.

if things dont work out great i might swithch the housings around projectors on the inside... when the high beams are on the spread of light is amazing.... and i think the nicest part of the whole thing so far it doesnt have that HID cut off line with the light beam... thats the part that annoys people, that sharp cutoff of the light beam... well will post more pics come sunday
