Finally New Pics!
Well here are a few quick shots of the new outside mods on my Z. These are just some pics we took on spring break and at my girlfriend's prom. I will have more detailed pics soon of the outside and pics of the new interior. Let me know how you like the new flames. The other new mods include shaved emblems, handles, and antenna, Z06 style Z28 emblems(sides), and 20" KMC Stealths.

i dont really like it, i think 20's are way to big on any car but especially a third gen. the flames are amazing but would look alot better if they engulfed the front end instead of looking like the hood came off another car and u just stuck it on this car.

I think the flames look awesome, a lot better than they did before. But as pardonme2711 said, the nose looks out of place being just black and then having the flames on the hood. Just my opinion though
1991 Z-28: Its not BS. Your post was against the rules, so it got locked. End of story. I already told you that if you had a problem with it, take it up with IROCZTWENTYGR8.

that looks awesome, except for the hood . i think it should come on the nose too, but anyway , nice show car . Hows the ride with the 20's and no sidewall. Does the car handle like crap now. ????

The rims are KMC Stealths and the car handles great. Yes the ride suffers a little, but its not bad at all. As far as the frontend goes there is no other way to do the realistic flames because if you cover the whole thing it looks terrible as proven by my old paint scheme.
can i see some of the old, just outta curiosity? and what does the windshiled banner mean? i migh lose that if i were you but i'm not. i like windshield banners but i dont really understand that one to much. like i said earlier whoever did the flames had talent those are amazing but for me i like the whole front end engulfed.
I really dig the flames and the 20's don't look to bad at all.
I would comment on the post with the girl in a bikini, but with the FCC pulling the BS that they are my views of sensorship are becoming an irate rant that would take up way to much server space. I know Metalic is just doing his job, but sometimes this PC stuff goes to far.

I too don't like 20's on our cars. Also, the only flames I like are ghost flames. I guess you could call me boring or simple or whatever.

Now that is a unique 3rdgen. Very clean, very cool....nice work man! Those are some of the sleekest flames I've ever seen.
If you ever have children, maybe then you'll understand why such limitations are required. Besides, people are here to discuss and view 3rdgens - not scantily clad women.

Sweet. Dig the rims and the paint. If our wheel wells were bigger I would put 26's on mine. Blow away the bystanders
I always loved the HOTWHEELS look!

I have already posted three pics or I would post an old pic. I am going to create a page on car domain so I will have the old pics on there as well as some more new pics. I will do that as soon as the weather clears up here so i can get some more pics. The windshield banner says ANOTHER LEVEL that is our local car club. I would love to come to the gathering just tell me when and where.

Don't split hairs? You have a picture of a guy with a tommy gun as your avatar, and are worried about a woman in a Bikini being a danger to your child? Think about it.
Zonfire, is all the airbrush work cleared over so it will preserve the work? Once again, the car looks great.

Not a big fan of the 20" wheels, just tooooooo big for our cars IMO. However, that said, I like the color, never see that around. Good work (whomever did it), I bet it cost a few duckets! Anyway, looks good, just don't favor 20's... too big, 18's max for
me on any f-body.
My 2 cents on the girl issue, what gives, I have seen tons of posts with members cars and girls in skimpy bathing suits, why now is it against the rules? Lighten up, let the guy post pics of a woman in whatever, the rule should be as long as she is not naked, again IMO, not flaming the rules, but, car pictures have always had women posing in them, why should this board not allow that???

It is against the rules because people view this webpage from work. If the boss walks by and happens to see a picture with a car and a chick in a bikini, what is he likely to think?
This post isn't about the rules, so lets keep it back on topic. If you have a problem with the rules, talk to an admin about it. Thanks.

I just seen a post in this same area with 2 women in skimpy swiming suits.. WTF?
I am not trying to cause a fight with this, in fact I don't care at all, it just makes no sense to me that I have seen these pics all over and now, just in this thread it is an issue? Again, I am not flamming anyone, I obey the rules and have no problems with them at all, and I look at this site all day long at work. I would never post anything like that, just like Kandied said, it's boring, and lame, and so 1980's... However, I just want clarification on why in this post it cannot be done, but it another one I seen yesterday in this same section no mods did anything about it?
Other than that, I don't care, like I said that is so 1980's, a car with a gril on the hood, stupid...
Still, someone put a lot of hard work into that flame job up top, good job, just no bling bling 20" wheels, trade them in for some 17'18's.

.As far as people's opinion on the rims go I think they fill the huge 3rd gen wheels wells quite nice and help carry the wicked look out. For those that remember the car use to have 17" TTII's, and they looked good but did not stand out enough. The paint is eye catching so I think the rims need to be. I would not go any larger than 20's, however.

Dig it. That will for surely scare away poser sport sedans and big winged imports.
How much does a realistic flame job like that run?
If it is out of control maybe just my helmet.
Prices anyone? esp. in IL.

Do a search for David Culpepper - that was his old Screen name.
You've had some of the nicest paint/rim jobs I've ever seen David.
Honestly though - I loved the original flames and TT2 the best.
