Opinions please
Soon i hope to start detailing the engine bay but want to know if what im going to do would look good. Any suggestions are welcome on getting my engine bay to look really nice as long as the dont cost much at all
. Here's what im thinking of doing:
1- Use engine degreaser, pressure wash it off then scrub it down with simple green.
2- Use wax on shown paint
3- Use tire shine on rubber hoses
4- Put on my chrome valve covers
5- Paint TPI (including intake manifold) the color of my car, and paint in the grooves of pluenum and fuel rails silver (my trim color)
6- Blue spark plug wires
7. Custom CAI (wich will have a 3'' chrome exhaust pipe on it)
Also, what is a good brand/type of paint to use?

Kandied, I'm having my engine bay painted soon and want to reduce the clutter. I'm removing the A/C system and looking to move the alternator to where the A/C compressor is now. I don't want to remove the smog equipment for legal reasons... but man i wish i could! Anyway, how did you route all of the other wires so they're so hidden?!?! I need to know the secret. Did you run some behind the fenders or all along the frame rails? Did you just move them around a bit or did you have to extend and shorten some of them? Any info and tricks would be GREATLY appreciated
in that picture the harness is still there, it isn't anymore though.

yes i had to modify the setup. as far as what you see i used a v6 alternator and march pulley billet setup for those but you would have to loose your smog equipment for that.
