New ROH RT rims

I finaly got my 17x9 ROH RT black Ice rims in the car! I think they look sweet. Let me see some opinions. The next thing to go on the car will probably be a pro Kit or sportlines.

I was selling them to buy them in 18s but I found a local guy that will probably buy them off of me in a few weeks and if he does I will buy them in 18s but if not I will be happy with them.
I already sold the Z06s a while agao. I can't seem to fix the pics so if you want to see more check out my cardomain

IMO the z06s looked better. Then again, z06s are my favorite rim out there and I think your crazy for getting rid of them, but if your happy then

I know I will definantly get 18s again if I have the chance.

The Z06s were cool but I like a conventional 5 spoke a little better.

I really don't know if it is possible without spacers. I would kina doubt it but it might work. Do you have anny insight TPIROC?

They Look Great

Big rims without big brakes seems to look out of place. I have decided to do my brakes first before I add rims later.

Also 18 are way to big (stupid) looking for my taste anything bigger than 17 on a 3rd gen dont look right

thanks for all the comments guys. The wheels are all 17x9 and for the Back I used a 275/40/17 and the fronts got a 255/45/17. The tires are close in the front but they don't rub. I used Khumo Estaza Supra 712s. They seem to be nice tires too.

I agree. 18's look like you are trying to hard for me. That and they make the brakes look plain SILLY. For me, a wheel should not overpower the car, if you understand what I am saying. Rather, it should compliment it. $.02

/unzips flame suit

Looks much better, the z06 wheels did not seem to suit that car.

.... I can almost hear the tgo kid's club coming with the "it's different/unique" and "don't be jealous", can't forget "your car sucks, I would set it on fire and sell tickets for people to watch" blah blah blah give me a break and grow up.

haha, Yeah I totaly get what your saying. I asked for your comments. I am not planing on flaming annyone. If I do get 18s I will definantly have to get it lowered. becasue I do think it looks kind silly with 18s or bigger without lowering it.

i like the z06 wheels... (flame suit is on) i think they look good when you have the high rise wing and the big break kit on em.. thats what im gonna do eventualy.. after the turbo is installed..... i think ill only do 17s not 18s.. tires are jumping price in a 18 a bit... bad thing about z06 wheels is that they are not the correct offset anre make the breaks look far away...

I really think if you get Z06s or C5s you have to get them in 18s. I saw a TA at MIR the other night and it looked like it only had 17s. I think my 18s looked better.

I love the Z06 wheels, but think they look MUCH better in 17's and the stock style charcoal/polished lip setup. :hail:

IMHO the look of the wheel changes as it gets bigger, perhaps the stock finished 18's look good, I have not seen those as all the ones I have seen were polished/chrome. Much like the IROC wheels, they probably look better not being ALL chrome or polish in big sizes. You don't want it to be too "blingy", if there is such a word.

same here, but I got 17s for some goofey reason
But they don't have 9.5 but you can get the rear ones in 9 or 10, I think they have wider ones too.

Twolf- well I just decided to get my car repainted. I have a friend who paints and I will get the paint from my uncle for a good price. So hopefully I will have the time to get the car repainted soon. it is really chipping off on the drivers side door and I also have a few dings to get out of it.

he strips the car at his place and them takes it to a garage where he paints. I am going to be helping as much as I can to lower the price. The paint job will be cuting into my dirtbike fund

I am gonna go with these rims if I can manage to stick a 285 sized tire on a 9" rim. If I cant then I guess I will have to get some z06's or ZR1's.

hey supermaxx, I just got back from picking up a 91 Z in omaga Nebraska and the car came with TT2s so I think I will be selling my roh rt wheels. they are 17x9 with a 275/40 in the back and a 255/45 or 40 can't remember, up front.

The new car I just got has 285/40 17s out back, that is a nice beefey tire!

Old thread, but.....

Even though I'm getting tired of the 5 spoke design, I think it looks better.
Never been a fan of any factory wheel though....
