yep definitly was a bird... i'm having trouble identifying what exactly it is, though...

its got what appears to be a squirter for a rear window wiper, no spoiler, and 91/2 t/a taillights (looks like the reflector is on the top).... so i'd guess its an older one that had a hatch swapped on and those tails swapped on as well.....

damn, if i knew where that car was, i'd do some underwater taillight salvaging and make a killing on ebay!!! jk

It pisses me off to no end how hollywood will use our thirdgens as though the were expendable and there was an infinite number left. At this rate, these things will become classic prematurely. That would suck.

Mosdef. No one would sink a car (or anything reasonably expensive) for a print ad when photoshopping is quick, dirty, and easy.

ya, cuz i know that in movies where they wreck cars and stuff, they make replica's, kinda like a kit car i guess, and wreck those so they don't have to do it to the originals. I mean, do you really think they trashed that bad *** Charger in the fast and the furious?

I'm sure there are laws againist throwing a car into a lake for a no reason, other then to get a picture....

Environmental Concerns to say the least......And I believe throwing a car into a river can constitute "Littering"....

That's a photoshop

What about fear factor? Whenever they want to do a car stunt it's a camaro. I wanna go on Fear Factor just so I can do some crazy crap in a Camaro.

Why not sink a thirdgen firebird? The car probably cost them 1000$.

I get more mad when I see movies like the fast and the furious destroying 1st gens... movies always destroy classics because they are cheaper and "cooler". I get angry. Like in 2 fast 2 furious I got mad when the "yenko" was destroyed but I could have cared less about the new corvette, viper, and mustang that was destroyed.

Did you notice EVERY american car in that stupid movie was destroyed but the ricers were untouched.

its cuz otherwise they would all have whooped the ricers in a race, i mean c'mon, a viper, corvette, yenko, charger, and yes even the mustang would smoke all of those cars unless the ricers had some serious upgrades.

You can't just throw a car into a river and walk away with the photos....

The EPA would be all over in a matter of minutes...

People are too quick to call photoshop....Not that I don't love my third gen, but these cars are a dime a dozen...and they could of very well picked up a junked one painted it too look pretty for a photo and dumped in somewhere...could be in Universal's back lot in an artificial movie lake...or a real lake...doesn't mean they didn't remove the car. If its a photoshop its a pretty good one, but I don't think it is.
