Did the area around the headlights come in gloss or satin on 87 IROC's??

I am going to have to say that they all came with that satin (almost flat) black in the headlight surrounds. I think because so many have been repainted, that most of them lost the marking over time. Costs less to paint it all the same color.
I painted my first third gen, a'91 RS, myself trying to make it look like a Z. It came out really nice and never chipped.

It depends on people's perception of gloss vs. satin. I have a friend with an 89 with under 20k miles on it, and the headlight buckets are shiny, but not as shiny as a black paint job. They are a lot shinier than a typical 'satin' paint though. In any event, I painted my grill satin black, and when I get around to it, my headlight buckets will be satin to match. I don't like them shiny.
