How to clean engines????

How the hell do i clean my engine(lu5 crossfire). The first time I bought a orange can at auto zone engine degreaser smelled like gas.And it didn't do much i followed the directions and sprayed it with a water hose but still looks bad. Then just last week i used greased lightning and it worked alittle I saw some grease oil residue come off but still not what i wanted any idea i have portable steam cleaner I'm gonna use if i remember correctly this is the same method auto detailers use right? Any help would be great.

Try Castrol super clean. This stuff rocks! just don't leave it sitting on plastic parts too long.

Engine degreaser and a power washer. Take off the plastic parts and wash them with mild soapy water. Finish up with plastic polish or the simple Turtle Wax Formula spray and a rag method. Nice!

some heavy dute brake dust cleaner and a pressure hose , i wouldnt recomend you using the brake dust cleaner all the time, i say just use it once to get all the nasty gunk you cant get off with a regular can cleaner, then after that you can start using the cans to keep it clean

Carb cleaner (spray can type) works great on fuel and oil stains, like on an aluminum intake.

Fast Orange. It works just as well on engines and engines bays as it does your hands.

For the engine bay it is fine, just be gentle. It might cause a few small scratches here and there. But as long as you are only using it in your engine bay on not like.. On the hood, you should be ok.

But yes. It is amazing
