Repairing ground effects
i have a few cracks and chunks missing from my ground effects, and i have a large dent in my front bumber how can i fix these?
Take it to a body shop?
The cracks in the ground effects and the bumper may be able to be fixed with a urethane repair kit. Most autoparts stores have these kits. They are really only good for filling gouges though and don't really bond all that well, but try using some glue to hold the cracks and the urethane kit to fill them in like bondo. The fender you can push out from behind and then skim *SKIM NOT BUILD OR FILL* some bondo over the imperfections to straighten it out. You should be able to get the fender pretty straight to begin with from behind. The bumper dent should come out with the fender or you can use a heatgun to reshape it.
That being said...if you asked how to fix it you probably don't have the skills to do the job right and should probably take it to a body shop if you want it to look the way it looked before.

First the dent. Your fender dent is holding the bumper cover dent in. If you disconnect where the fender and bumper cover attach the bumper might pop back out on it's own,It depends on how long it has been like that. If it wants to stay dented in then your gonna have to get a heat gun on the back side to get the bumper cover material heated up then it should pop out to how it was originally but be carefull, it's very easy to burn/blister the bumper cover.Remove the fender lower ground effect piece prior to fixing anything. It will also give you access to the backside of the bumper cover so you can get the heat gun in there and access the bolts that attach the fender to the bumper cover.
Cracks and Chunks. If there is a lot of material missing as in big missing chunks then replace that part, but if it's just on that piece in the pic then thats fairly easy to fix.
Your going to need some two part epoxy. CLEAN out the gouges and sand the surrounding area with some course sandpaper, same with the cracks, and roughen up the edges of the crack,front/back. Mix up the epoxy and fill in the crack and make sure it oozes out both sides and take your finger and spred it out at least 1/4" past the crack on both sides.Make sure your finger is wet for this step. Once the epoxy has dried you can sand it down just like body filler then prime, paint, and clear. Same go's for the gouges. Your going to use the epoxy like body filler but it will be flexable. The trick to getting it to stick and stay is, the area needs to be Clean and Rough.Hope this helps some.
Dont waste your money on one of those Urethaine repair kits there a joke.

I used the repair kit once to fix a crack and it never worked, never tried filling gouges with it tho
The stuff I use is not really epoxy, it is a resin with a harderner you have to mix like epoxy or body filler but anyway it is very flexiable. I let some dry on a body squeegy and it came off like a 1/4 inch thick and about 3 inches long and you could bend and twist it and woulden't break. I'll have to look and see If I have any left and I'll post the name and part number. If I remember correctly it's made by 3M.
