Some more pics of the mecham wing.

I haven’t posted any pics of the car since i've been on probie for a while and I just thought I would post some pics and tell everyone what I have planned. It looks the same except for the wing. I got a mecham wing. I also got the rear window tinted 5%. In a few weeks ill have my boyd coddington smoothies to finish off the look of my car. I think everything else from now on will be more performance oriented. I wanted to get 13-inch brakes. SO I had to buy the rims first, I really didn’t wan to but I did. SO in a few weeks ill have the rims on.

this is one of me and my dad racing at lebanon valley. It was a friday night at a hemmings car cruise and show. I got to run 11 times and my dad ran 7 . It was real hot and sticky so times were slow but my mphs were up to 88.78. I also found out my car weighs 3445 w/o driver.

With the big hood and the big wing its time to go big on the rims (18's). It'll look off the hizzy then, I love that style TA.

Wing looks great man, the wing and the hood give the car a meaner look than other TA's...i agree that it need a set of rims, the smooties will finish off the car nice man.
Great work!

thanks , i think when i get the rims im all done doing stuff to the exterior, until it has to get paint. But other than the rims i wanna have the sides tinted 5%. I really am starting to get antsy about the rims. I ordered them june 3rd . So about a month and a half. Then i think my car will really stand out when im driving around.

I... really really like that a lot. Someone please make one so we can buy it. That looks WONDERFUL. Some people think the wing looks square and stuff but that is one sexy car. It makes it look longer and it, in my opinion, flows very well with the rest of the car.

Damn.

Usually I dont like the RA hoods. The just look out of place. But that wing totally evens out the car.

Awesome!

Looking at it now, only comment would be get rid of the door molding. Car has an amazing line but the door molding breaks up the car too much and kind of hides the little vent in the front 1/4

id love to get rid of the body side molding. I dont need it. But they are the crappy 82-early 85 ones that rivit on. Im wondering if i could have them taken off , how much it would be and if they could blend the paint to match the rest of the car . I really would like to take them off.

If you plan a re-paint in the near future, I would just leave them on until then

While you are ripping stuff off, get rid of that antenna too.........

Those are actually aftermarket or dealer added. The factory 82-87 molding are just a black strip. I think the aftermarket kind screw on and are not riveted on. Thats how it was on my '83. I just removed mine last week because the car is getting painted.
