Anyone seen the 91 Z in CHP? That is a beautiful car, I just recieved my issue and I'm like wow. If anyone wants I'll take pictures of the article and post them. The amount of money he put out to do this is amazing.

they took the photos in september but i really had no idea when they were going to print it. took quite some time that's for sure but as to the looks of it it was well worth the wait. has anyone read it yet? all they did was take photos and i had a 20 page mod sheet to fill out so i have no idea what they could have wrote about as i never talked to anyone so i'm interested to see what it says.
thanks again everyone!!

AWESOME!!!
...I hope to get featured someday!!! I know my stock preferences may keep it from getting noticed, but I'm sure some of you saw the "Tuned Port Infection" spread in GMHTP a few years ago.
Heck, ya never know!
Congrats Kandied!

to be honest it was and is alot of hardwork pushing a car through all the b.s for these things. i started talks with chp back in 01 after my first write up in camaro worlds september 01 issue and you see how long it took. the only advice i have to anyone looking to do the same is to honestly ask yourself if you would purchase the same magazine with the same car if it weren't your own. with that out of the way make sure you have a few good photos and enough things with the car to make others want to read it. put it all together and email it to one of the editors.........they get thousands of emails a week from people like us all wanting to do the same thing. it's pretty much a kiss *** and sell yourself routine. do it right and you just might see your car in print. however there's always those select few who happen to be in the right place at the right time. winning large shows help too.

for the wheels. boze stinger model www.bozeforged.com 18x8 and 18x10.

Mine has an engine(who would have guessed) and its talking about engine combos(again, unbeliveable
) and I remember it having a blue background

Or maybe its just the paint playing tricks. But the car looks great now you just gotta get it into another mag with the air ride and the new hood.
i'm trying.....little hard to argue when the editors have this issue on their desks now. they don't want to believe it's a completely different car now.
as far as the issue it's the september 2004 chevy high performance issue. it is in there so if you don't see it you must have the wrong issue. it has a blue cover with an engine on the front. my car is on page 8 of the contents as well.

Very cool!
It's always awesome to see a beautiful, clean thirdgen grace the pages of a popular magazine.
I'm going to buy my issue now!
The only thing is that I can see those wheels becoming a whole lot more popular now, which kinda sucks for the sake of originality. Those are by far my favorite wheels, I just hope people don't start putting them on everything under the sun.
Good job man.

thanks alot! you know that's crazy that you mentioned that....
i called up my budy at boze alloys who helped me with everything during the process to let them know the print was out and he had already knew about it. had 4 people calling with f-bodies asking about the wheels they saw on a 91 camaro in chevy high performance.
just crazy how fast things work like that....

Magazine's have some serious influence on the car scene, I'm sure you had groups of people rushing to chrome their stock 91-92 wheels.......

You still have the SS hood and air ride over that article though......

magazines are a typcially always a few months ahead in print and up to a year or more in actual setup. by the time something is getting into a magazine it's been out or done for a year or more in most cases.

I just got the magazine, and the article came out great!! Nice job Kandied. I also like how they used your car for the "feature" in the index of the magazine.
Not many 3rd gens are capable of pulling that off
