What is this difference everyone supposedly can find in the quarters. That is a Camaro as far as I can tell and unless the hatch was changed it is an 86. I know there are differences in the quarters but all of it is in the back not in anything that woud show in those pics.

Right where the pillar meets the quater. On Firebirds it juts out .5"ish. Whereas on camaro's, they're flush near the windows and the lip grows as it goes toward the hatch.
Actually, you know what... I'm second guessing myself... I think its a Camaro.

Thats a camaro I would bet money on it. You can barely see the headlight pockets in pic #2.
It is an interesting derby however I wonder what the rules are in that. The Camaro is pretty straight after a round of smash em up.

im looking at these pictures trying to decide if there real, and what the heck happened, and im confused :P
theres 2 pics where the car is hanging off the edge completely, with 1 wheel left up there, and another where just the front end is hanging off, and in both pics its still touching the mustang
i guess he mustve went forward and slid the other rear tire up the thing again... or something, haha.. someone please, what the f*ck is going on in those pictures

Its Demolition Derby the point is damage the other car so that ur the last car still rolling...but for some reason these pics arent doing justice...
The camaro got virtually no damage done to it...
btw demo dirbys are very fun to go to but it hurts my eyes when you see camaros in them

edit - take a look at that fat guy! LOL

OK,....here's what happened in the pics...
These pics are from a "cruise-in" called Cruisefest. It is held in western Ohio every year around the 2nd or 3rd weekend in May.
Although it is a cruisein, most people come to see the ladies,...not the cars....
Anyways, these pics were taken on the burnout platform. Here's what happened though.
This is NOT a demolition derby. First it was a tug of war contest with a rope or chain of sorts tied to the undercarriage of both cars. The camaro and the mustang were trying to pull eachother off the platform, but I'm not sure who won that one.
Then after the tug of war was over, both cars went nose-to-nose trying to push eachother off the platform.
My friend's uncle is the one who runs Cruisefest and I actually heard about particular event last night from him (I didn't get to go this year).....funny that I see the pics of it now...cause I was about not to believe him.

I can't explain the lack of damage to the Maro, but if that is fake I think we have just found the best chop ever!!! Sure looks real from here, and I cannot see how anyone thought that was a bird!!! And what's this about telling a .5" difference in a photo of a quarter panel??? LOL!! Come on now!!!

Its not fake..too many of them to be fake...and if you zoom I can't see any JPG artifacts. If you use the program you'd know and just like Cruizn Kaz says its a damn good photoshop if it is one. I've used the program for over 5 years now and I can use it pretty damn well and have made my share of fakes and what not. I sometimes post on worth1000.com check that site out if you want to see some amazing photshops. Anyways, they're not fake. Its a damn Camaro people. I knew off the bat...and one picture does in fact show a piece of the talighight and it shows the corner wrapping around the side of the quarter panal, as we all should know bird's lights are flat on back and the little corner doesn't wrap around like a Camaro's.

lol this is funny
Anyways I didnt' want to get into the bird/camaro thing but I knew it was a camaro in the first picture. I think the thing that is throwing people off is the paint job, it makes the nose look birdish from the side, but the top angle is wrong.
As for photoshop the reason they look fake is the camera person is using either the wrong film or has the shutter speed set wrong, so he is getting a crisp shot of stationary things and a little bluring of any thing moving. The lack of damage was explaned in the fact its not really a demo derby. its a tug war. Those noses will flex back to shape in low speed bumps also.
