My new paint scheme

This is what I am thinking of doing to my car... or I may just stay all black with a slight mist of purple pearl all over

Those cars are nice, but those 2 tones dont follow the body line. Those lines are straight as an arrow. And the top color has to go down past the hood or, from the front it will look like you have a junk yard hood on it.

your first design with the black headlight pockets looks nice... i'd like to see a good, deep silver on top, though... possibly like a metallic color, or like gunmetal or graphite even (might be too dark)...

oh, but if you went through with this u'd break up the "black plague"

well the other 2 from "the plague" are changing colors... The orignal 92 Z was purple haze from the factory then painted black, I think he is going to go with a dark blue. The other guy 91GNZ28 is going to go with a sunburst orange color I think.... I may just keep it all black on mine and put just a tinge of pearl in it.

Those are some sweet color combos on those third gens above. I like when the two tone color is offset by somesort of pinstrip.

My 91 RS has a two-tone...sort of.

It's exactly like the first drawing as far as which lines it follows with the breakup right below the mirror posts. Mirrors painted top color too.

What it is...is the original blue metallic on the bottom half and light grey primered on the top half. The top surfaces began to peel and I decided to sand and primer it that way until I could get it repainted. I have gotten so many compliments on it this way that many people have said to just paint the top half silver.

I haven't made up my mind yet...but the first pic/drawing is the first I've seen anywhere like mine. Nice to see the others posted too.

Sorry, no digital cam.

If you haven't done it yet, I had my car repainted a few months ago, solid black with purple pearl heritage stripes, as well as purple pearl mixed into the clear coat. Out in the sunlight, it looks amazing, the car just glistens from every angle you look at it. I would highly suggest it.
