I use Zymol for wax, Eagle One on the tires, vinegar/water mix and newspaper on the windows, Armor All on the interior and Suave shampoo and conditioner on my hair and Ivory bath soap on me!

(Before Zaino) I was a huge fan of Liquid Glass, used it religiously. As for tires, I like the shine of eagle-one and tire wet, I know they sling crap all over the car, but it's not too bad if you wipe them down first.

One Grand Blitz Wax is the best wax on the market IMO!!! The stuff provides the best depth and clarity I've ever seen. It's really durable also!

Don't sleep on Armour Alls Diamond Hard Shine wax. It's real easy 2 use and leaves ur car shiny and slippery with no swirls. I was shocked at how good it is. I heard Zymol is good but I haven't tried it yet.

I have used many different waxes and gimics over the years including that rub on wash gel crap. I used to use meguires gold nice shine hard to get off though. I like Dri-wash the best, its easy and shines great.

I have heard that all polymer waxes work the best. I believe Nu Finish is a good examples. Polymers actually bond to the paint, therefore requiring waxes only about once a year.

Nu Finish. Consumer's Report magazine has consistently rated it among the best waxes on the market. I've used it for years.

What are some silicone free waxes besides $$Zaino$$? Right now I use Zymol and I also use the spray on cleaner crap from Eagle 1, which I believe is basically just silicone. That stuff shines better than any wax I've ever used, and when I wash the car the suds fall right off it, but it collects dust like a bastard and will eventually make the color darken because of the silicone.

Jim, trust me on this one...try Blitz wax by One Grand. It is the absolute best caranuba wax I've ever used. When applying it you don't have to wait for it to dry (you just wipe it on and wipe it right off). It dosen't smear, and it has awesome durability. I've layered 8 layers of this stuff on and and it never clouded. It just gains clarity and a shine with every layer. I am only 16, but I detail cars for my job, and I have a true passion for it. I've tried most of the stuff out ther and I stand behind Blitz wax all the way. Just use a polish/pre-cleaner, glaze, and then put on a layer or two of Blitz and you will see what I'm talkin' about. Check it out at www.onegrand.com.

For your tires that Meguiers Gel Endurance tire gloss is the absolute best. So easy to put on and it lasts forever. For wax, Meguiers Gold or Mothers is good too. I guess Zanio is supposed to be the best though.

I'm a big fan of Griot's Garage products. I use all their products and have no complaints at all. Great company and products. As far as the difference between polish and wax. Polish has abrasives in it to remove swirl marks etc. Wax has no abrasives and is for protection only.

Flash Wax. Was recommended to me by some local body/paint shops that push out some nice work. Been happy so far.

You mean the ACS one? If so, then yes, that's some good stuff. Doesn't last as long as some others but easy as heck to apply & take off

Sorry, but you are the incorrect one. Polish is an abrasive and wax is a protectant. The only thing incorrect about IROCZ1990's statement is that some waxes can be abrasive.

Collinite's insulator wax. Best wax i've ever used, and i've used turtle, mothers, and meguires. Nothing beats the finish of the collonites. If i feel like spending a day on the car, i'll use the first 2 steps of meguires, then instead of their wax use the collonites. Here's the link if anyone is interested:

I used Meguiar's Gold Class for awhile until I switched to Formula 113. I believe it is one of the best waxes available.
