getting ancy about my car

well its somewhere near the middle of winter, and after my tranny grenaded mid summer i decided the car was staying off the road until spring. man, i miss my camaro so much, and the combination of surfing this site tonight and pulling into my driveway everyday to see my camaro sitting next to my garage has gotten me super ancy about getting her back on the road. anyone else who's car is away this winter getting impatient about not being able to drive it? i just had to vent because i just cant wait any longer to get my car running and back on the road.

No doubt! I understand what your both talking about. I blew my 305 the year before last, than I put my 355 in with minimal mods just before the end of the year. I drove it alittle but failed to run the way it should w/ the tpi. I bought some more stuff for it and bought a different chip and it finally began to run well by the time september came, but soon I had to take it off the road. So I may have driven my car like 2,000 miles in the last year and a half. I have put a ton more money in it, and I'm getting really ancy about driving it. I can't wait!!
Everyone tells me "take your time and do it right", but I don't know how much longer I can wait!

sad to say this but I've never been able to drive my 84 once at all and I've had it for a while so I'm a little anxious to finish it up.

Same here, I hear all of this. Bought the 86 in October, then it died in December. Sat until we got it running again late summer time, then drove it for a few weeks realized the clutch is totally burnt. So now it sits again, hopefully going back in soon to get the clutch replaced. I'm just comming back after a long hiatus. I got a 99 Dakota R/T to drive to college now, but all I dream about it getting the Firebird back and running down in that. I like the truck, but i love my Firebird.

Same here. I am sick of staring at it in the driveway. New drivetrain and interior should be going in shortly.

yeah i know what ya mean. my alternator has been shot since begining of december and even then the last time i really drove the car was oct. 9th. cant wait till it gets warmer for more then a day. gettin new body panels and wantin to start on the body work/resturation, beefing up the 305 till the 496 is done, redoing all the suspention again and redoing the entire interior for once.

my car has been covered so long i hope the car is still under it sometimes since i havent lifted the cover off in a long time.

Well I kind of know how you feel. I'm 16 and I bought my car 6 months before I got my license! I got really... ANTSY But it was really bad seeing my car sit in the drive and not be able to hop behind the wheel.... IT WAS TORTURE!! I've been driving now for 10 months and I still enjoy every minute I'm behind that wheel!

I can't wait to get my current project done so the car will at least run again. I got the whole upper intake off my car and am just waiting for a break in this crappy weather to get the lower intake off, then I have to replace the lifters cuz a couple are bad (but I figure I'll replace them all while I'm there) and bead blast/paint my intake. Then I gotta put it back together with some MSD ignition upgrades. SHould be great first time I take her out this spring.
