By modern 3rd gen do you mean 4th gen?

The "modern 3rd gen" looks like the top part of a vette sandwiched onto the body of a circle track car. The tail end reminds me of a newer Cavalier kinda.

It is fun to draw though.

That looks really good i think specially if the tail lights were grid also . You need to draw some rear and front shots.

I had the same idea 6 months ago but I never finished it. I like the concept of a modern thirdgen because thirdgens are my favorite years of fbodies. Idea reminds of the Ford GT, looks almost exactly like old GT40, but still looks new, lol because it is new, but you know what I mean.

That drawing looks amazing! I wish there was a car that looks like that. I love the beefed up rear quarters. It just looks muscular and sexy at the same time...

Hey thanks for all the comments guys. I really like how the LS1 Trans Ams look so I took some of that and put it in there. The tail lights do have the two horizontal lines from the grid it is just a little hard to see.

I like those color drawings you did of it Maroon-IROC-Z! How did you do that? Paint?

I did them in adobe illustrator, but look really bad when I exported them to jpg. I also just noticed that I missed the rear tail-lights.

I did it in about 10mins.

Personally I think it could use a lower roofline and a lil more hump in the rear, lol give me a sec to sketch something up. But I still like the idea now that I see some color.

That is cool lookin! I drew up a convertible version today. I put in a fender vent like you did and I drew it before I saw yours. Weird. I felt like it needed a little something behind the seats so I added a hard tanue cover. Changed the rear bumper a little and added a ram air hood. And I actually included the side meer this time.

if you went back to the late 80s/early90s, that would be what the cars of the future would look like

I like how you dropped the top of the windshield posts to give it a better flowing line. I think that would look great.
