A front grill idea

Well I had some time this weekend and decided to redone the front grill. The old black plastic look was boring and dull so I painted it gloss black to match the car paint. It looks nice.

Then I found some mesh like shiny wire stuff laying in the garage and I thought, wonder how that would look as a custom grill. So I cut out a small rough template of a grill. I kinda like it. Summit sells grill material pretty cheap so I was thinking of trying it. Granted I will take the time to do it right. I one in the pics is quick idea. What do you think? Which do you like better?

Heres my factory redo.

Granted its only a rough sketch if you will. i have more pics at different angles and it doesnt look right since it was quick but the idea intrigues me.
The front end bumber gets painted this winter/fall whenever I get a chance. . Too many stone chips and scratches. I am also gonna replace the front turn signals. Their all fogged up with moisture and stained

I think it would look better for the grill to be exposed, and the mesh to only surround the foglights.
Or to remove the foglights and place the grill in their place.

Just my $.02

STOCK gets my vote for this modification, simply because it looks kinda cheap just cut out and placed over the stock one......

Now if that's a billet grill, I would say throw the stock one in the trash.....

The stock one was out of the front end while that metal piece was put in there. I am running the stock one right now but was thinking of getting that chrome mesh grill stuff. I get a link for it.

Stock on this one. I love the billet grills, and the metal screen behind the grill for the Ram Air mods. But to hide that beautiful front end is a shame in my book.

I like the idea, but I think you need a different type of mesh, or like Flyinlow92rs said maybe a billet grill.

Either way would be cool. Do what you think looks the best, after all, your choice of custom work makes your car stand out from others.

Just spend the money to get a billet grill and dont waste your time or money on buying the material and fabing your own. Looks GREAT and only takes a few minutes to install it.
