I think it made a big improvement as far as neatness goes...now...I just have to work on hiding some of the fuel & nitrous lines...

Sticker on the snorkel above the 5.7 sticker is crooked....
sorry I had to, engine bay looks sweet. Especially with those "extra" hoses in there.

Looks so much cleaner and neater than the braided one dude, good job with this one. I love those Corvette covers, where you get them besides off the corvette itself, lol!

That is the factory sticker that came on the snorkel

lol, I haven't got it completely installed yet...I want to make sure everything is completely safe. I still have to get a purge kit, bottle heater...some extra goodies. It's mostly for show though...even though, I might make a few passes with it when I get it all installed Thread Starter

Yes. believe me is doesnt look anywhere near as good as it does on LT1's. Just paint your VC's high temp black or silver and your set.

I got these really cheap, so, I modified them to fit as best as possible. I actually really don't even open my hood much unless someone asks....so..can you guys cut me a little slack? Some people like them (on TGO) some people don't. I hate to bring this all back up again, but the reason I installed them because a ton of people said that there is noway that they will fit a TPI system...just thought I'd do it to prove them wrong. I happen to like them better then my stock valve covers. They dont fit exaclty how I would like them too....but...to me, they update the engine compartment.

Looks a lot neater in my opinion. I agree that the Corvette covers don't look good. But, its your car

whatever guys, I wasn't asking about the covers anyhow, just wanting opinions & thoughts about taking the braided covers off.

If it was REAL briaded hose, I would have said keep it, but since it's just covers, I rather see the black color, then the cheap covers for it.....
Good Choice
As far as the jungle of wires/lines/heater on the left side of the engine, it leaves alot to be desired as far as cleaning it all up and making it look nice.....
Corvette Valve Covers........
.....I have them, so obviously I'm a fan of them......:lala:

Id say get some red spark plug wires and Made for You centerbolt wire looms. Run the wires between the headers and up under the LS1 covers. Hides the wire like mess and cleans it up a bit. just my opinion.
I like the covers, looks like a motor that should have been in the TPI C4 vettes. Although, A nice set of polished/chromed valve covers would be best to accent your intake shine. But the Ls1 covers are different, and I like that.

the braided hose covers are annoying. like i know they dont cost that much but they are annoying to put on.
it looks better with out them. but if u did keep them or just wants to replace them with better lookin braided hose covers/hoses u should have gotten these. they cost alittle more but all u have to do is cut to lenght. ive had them on for about 2 yrs and no problems.

Dude those vette covers are hideous... jk I like them!
Anyways I actually love braided hoses, but I'm not a big fan of the braided covers so I say its a good move! but if you put actual braided hoses on it I think it would look even better.

I'll never understand braided hose covers......you can spot them from a mile away.....they just look cheap in my book. Either go with the real deal or keep them black....looks much better without them.

Looks really clean to me. I like the vette covers, too, even though I wouldn't use them personally.

I like it without the braid. The braided hose draws attention away from your intake (which looks incredible by the way), and your other shiny trim parts. Also, I didn't like how you could tell it was only a braided cover and not a hose (ie bunched up in some areas, looks loose in others etc) The clean black hose looks 100% better IMO.
The valve covers look great. Too bad they don't make 'CAMARO' covers the same style

looks much better. you know what else you could do to clean up the engine bay , is get rid of the air pump and all that crap. But it does look good now. As far as the camaro covers, what about using bondo or something to fill the holes that speel out corvette and then paint them gloss black and have a camaro sticker put on .
