Show pics of thirdgen with BMW-rims

I'm looking into soms bigger (18- 19") rims. Since I livein Europe most of the wheels you use like AR, Boyds etc. are very expensive.
BMW (replica) rims are cheap over here, but I haven't seen much pics of them on thirdgens, so please show me some...

I photoshopped them (quick and dirty) on my vert. They are 18x8,5 in front and 18X9,5 in the back. They are AC schnitzer replica's

The lugnut pattern of BMW-wheels is almost the same , it's 5x120mm (5X 4,75"= 5X120,6 so there is only o,6 mm difference)

The BMW, 5,6 and 7 serie wheels often fit well. 3 series wheels often have a big positive offsett, so you would have to use spacers to fit them right.

But that's not the way I want to go. Either they fit right or they don't fit, no messing around with spacers for me........

So if you get them mounted hubcentric as opposed to lug-centric you can make up the difference.

There are more folks making BMW wheels than Camaro wheels, and with more interesting styles. I kind of like that idea...

Those photoshopped wheels look sweet. So 5 and 7 series wheels fit for sure?

they are BMW AC style, I had try 2 18's BMW rim, the offset is about 15mm, 8.5J, only one problem.....check the pic I attached, some of the BMW may have bigger center hole than thirdgen stock's, so the rim will not stay on the bolt well, you will need a custom center ring to clean the different, I did that for the rim in the second pic but the rim in the first pic just fit well ...

You'll always have to check the offset/backspacing. There are 5 and 7 series wheels with to much positive offset to fit right. You'll have to measure it to be sure.

I would LOVE to fit some classic style BBS wheels. The only challengs is that they only go up to 8.5" width...

BMW replica rim are almost 8.5J front and rear, that sucks, too wide in the front and too narrow in the rear (in 18's)

Excuse my ignorance, but I don't understand the whole offset thing.

BMW 5/7 series rim are about +13mm offset, it is very close to thirdgen, I had asking about the offset of thirdgen stock but no reply, all I sure is the BMW rim look fine on car (about the offset), there is a formula to calculate the back spacing of thirdgen, about that, it show I will need a 3mm spacer on the front wheel if I go 18's, 13mm offset, 8.5J, the rear wheel need no spacer...., in my case, I didn't use any spacer now....

Search for Rondell wheels on EBay and you'll find some sets in 17X8 fronts and 17X10 rears, or 18X8 fronts and 18X10 rears. A bit expensive, but would be very well worth it for such nice looking wheels. You gotta pay to play!!!

At those prices I could probably pick up some custom made in my size. I used to remember the name of a place that could/would do the bolt pattern, backspacing, andall of that for $1200. Maybe if I look around a bit I can find their info.

It's either that or I just grab some of those "OEM" ZR-1 wheels for $600.

But if it is cheaper for Ren?Vlietstra to get BMW replicas and have the specially fitted then have at it.

I can have the set BMW replica's, tires included for around 1300$. If I have to order from the states even the simplist 18" polished IROC's, shipping and taxes included would cost me around 1200$, that's without the tires.

you guy are all lucky, especially the American, those after market rim for thirdgen will cost me much more than US1200 with tires, the good news is, those replica BMW rim are made in Taiwan, I got mine about US420 with used tires.....

If I am rich, I will still buy those US style rim, even the BMW rim look very too.

I have been looking BMW rims on eBay, and I love the styles of most of them. I think my next set of rims will be from a BMW.
