Last night a bunch of things in town got vandalized...they got my car ......and there is such an amount of pearl in the clear that the car has to be completly repainted or.....i can put stripes on it and sand and buff the tape lines off when its done...ne ideas on what color stripes? they got the deck lid pretty good

well the pearl is almost impossible to match cause it was a last minute thing and i didn't measure it........stupid me......did'nt thik anyonewas this stupid.....i kinda want stripes anyway

By the looks of your paint, it seems you have either a blue or white pearl in it... I think silver stripes would look good

 

its blue pearl.......its in the clear........i was thinking that i have an assload of the red basecoat left.....i could do the red stripes and clear them in reg. clear.......and it would be like a ghost effect.....but i'm thinking i wanna go w/ something that really stands out like white or black...everyone has black stripes on red tho

 

Got any other pics of the car like whole shots? Kinda would like to see that, and get a better image of what stripes would look like. Something like heritage stripes or what?


Tunedport, I agree. sometimes i want to kill people. some dont appreciate what others have and go about doing stupid **** to **** people off. Not just to cars but things in general. if any thing happened to my car, I dont think i could be held responsible for what I would do to that person. Seriously, it aint right.

jake_91, i feel your anger and pain. Be thankful thats all they did. You should be able to come close to matching that if you want. Stripes are cool to. Whoever did that must have realized what the %$#@ they were doing and didnt do too much damage like messing up the whole car.

 

pic of whole car.....i want the stripes to go all the way down the hood, nose, and front gfx......and trunk lid, spoiler, and back bumper. I don't like the regular heritage stripes........i've got the hood blisters on the car too. What color should i do the stripes

IMO, If i didn't go with the black stripes, then I would go with some red ghost stripes like you had mentioned earlier.

I vote for black. But then again, I do love the Gerogia Bulldogs so.

 

Most have kinda been seeming to forget to give you a recommendation but looking at it I think it would look completely badass to have those red ghost stripes...it would cover up your dings and when the right light hits them and they appear...thats badass to me

 

Also white would really look badass too...i know ive seen this on imports and im sure its expensive but it might look tight to see the stripes in chrome. I dunno maybe im crazy but it would run with your wheels and i dunno i saw an import car with some paint job with chrome paint over bright red base on the entire body and it looked damn good

I think white or silver would be awesome. Silver would reflect nice with your paint. Your car loooks good.

BTW, what color is your interior? I don't think putting white stripes on a red car, with black interior would look good...(just an example) Might look tacky...try to go with something where all of it will match..and will bring everything together....

 

have the painting skills to do something like a cameleon effect? so it's white in one light, and silver as it moves around, or vice versa. I think that would catch my eye and have me drooling all day long.

I felt so bad that I thought I'd throw a quick PS together. I guess you'd say it's a ghosted white effect. I can do changes to different colors and the like...just ask.

 

Try it with a bright silver. It will look great cuz of your pearl paint and those polished/chrome rims. I like the stripe pattern too. Not too fat, not too close together, just about right.

If you go silver you need a really good reflective silver nothing dull...thats why i think you should look at chrome paint it would two tone with your rims and look increda over that bright red im tellin you!

 

IMO....that would really cheapen the car. It's like putting chrome door trim on it & some chrome fender flares on it..that would just really make it look cheap...

 

Im sorry but i think the last thing it would look is cheap. Little chrome flares from walmart is alot different than chrome on top of your paint to where it flows with your paint and doesnt look like some cheap added on piece. From someone who has seen it on a car it looks awesome here is a pic of that import with it on it

I might do it on my car...you can see the reflection of the road in it...great mirror effect i think its cool

 

metallic grey... darker then silver, a while ago they did a red 3rdgen with those stripes in superchevy or car craft or chp.

Sorry to hear about the car! I am always worried about that and pray that it never happens to me. As far as the stripes I say leave them off the car looks so nice and clean the way it is!
