One fine Iroc-z.

IMO it looks like a s-10 with camaro body. Lower that thing! LOL, just a thought, but I like lowered camaros. Prokit would do you good, its just right, not too low. It will help set off your aggressive look.

yep, dont have to lower it if you dont want to. But since your considering it, the eibach pro kit cuz it lowers it 1.5 inch or so which is just perfect. Any lower and it aint practical. unless you live in a flat area.

Not only will it improve looks, it greatly improves handling as well.

If your even interested in the lowering the car then go for the sportlines. The prokits are good but only do the job half way in my opinion. I went with the prokits and wish I had went with the sport lines. Unless the roads where you live are really bad or this is your only car and you live in weather harsh areas go for the lowest. My car with prokits never even comes close to scraping - at times when I think I would be trouble i look under the car to realize I still have room to go lower. Just my

Never driven a prelude so i dont know how they handle.

My prokit scrapes often. I killed a rabbit one day with the air dam!! He went right under the car and i felt it slam the airdam. I have hit a road kill raccoon with my underneath air dam/y-pipe so maybe my kit lowered a bit more than others. Now everytime I see an animal dead, I got to swerve out of the way completely. Only on larger animals tho like coons and ground hogs. I got about 3.5 - 4 inches of clearance in tightest areas.

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=260416

Pic of my car at side angle. It could be lower in rear, but the front air dam is low. At slight inclines or dips the nose will rub the ground. Just be carefull.

Lower it a little - but ya don't have to slam it.

If you don't, you'll have all of your lowered thirdgen buddies tellin' ya how dirty the underside of your mirrors are.

what you need is window tint for sure... a car isnt a car without some good dark tint... also you could (mask) paint your turn signals with a design hides some of the yellow and still looks pimp.. ill post pics of what im talking about.. cant get my digi cam right now... also you should shave door handles if you really want to get detailed...

those are just my opinions...
dont take my advice.

Yes, if your gonna lower it, do it with prokit or similar 1" drop or so. It looks great, feels great and is high enough to not have problems. Sportlines are like 2" or more drop. Thats low.

Those 17's look great tho. I want Zr1's so I can get 11" wide out back but if I can afford those 315 tires. LOL

Tint would be alright too, but make sure it is smoke grey/black color and doesnt fade to purple. UGHHH I hate purple tint on cars!!

I agree, i may just tint the windows and leave the springs alone.

also you should shave door handles if you really want to get detailed...
Good idea but i cant affort to put much more in this car lol

Make sure the tint is well done. if it isnt it will look tackey and make your car look like a$$. Every thing looks good so far, dont ruin it with poor quality tint.

Eibachs run 240 in summit. I got mine on ebay for 180 new so just for your information. If you want to save money.

I agree with lowering it and ditching the side trim moldings, but also ditch the IROC decals. Its not technically an IROC anymore with an SS hood and Z28 spoiler, plus it'll look a lot cleaner without all of the clutter. JMO

Your car looks very, very nice. I love the wheels, hood, and spoiler (I want to get the same hood/spoiler as a matter of fact).

I'm in the same boat as you.. I bought different wheels, and now I need to lower my car.

I think I'll end up getting the Sport-Line springs... they lower it 1.3" rear and 1.6" front. Thunder racing has them on sale until thursday so I think I'll order them tomorrow.

Lowering Springs

Here's a pic of my car so show it's stance as of now

Watch out with sportlines!!! Im doin a whole rebuild on my 92 RS. I bought sportlines put them in and lowered the rear end and woah! Rear end was very very close to the ground . I sent the sportlines back and bought the prokit. I wish I coulda kept the sportline fronts though because I lost a lot of front end weight with the all aluminum engine, tubular kmember, tubular a-arms, ect...

Your car looks sweet, it will look good with a prokit but still looks good if you dont want to spend 250 or so bucks. Definatly keep 17's, 18's can look good, but if you decided to make the car faster, traction can be and issue with 18s.

The difference between the prokit and the sporlines is like a half inch or something - not that drastic. The prokits sort of lower the car. I know on my car - another .5 to .75 inches in the front would help a little more - and another .5 inches in the back would as well. Most clearance issues for me would not change much with such small differences but would look more agressive.

I cant ever remember driving down the road and seeing any thirdgen with snypers, heck there is only a handfull of people on here that run snypers. There are plenty of other good looking rims out their too, but everybody and there brother prolly have them too BTW chomp, your car looks sweet, wish i woulda went with those rims, just a lil tooo much $ tho. Let me know what springs you went with.

I've been debating the same question for sometime. My sportlines are going on this weekend.

<img src="http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/5/web/473000-473999/473585_58_full.jpg">

While I'm at it what else should I change strut bearings are on the list. I was thinking about pulling the a-arms and putting poly or del-a-lum bushings in. Wha'da yall think?
