My cars to be in T/A book by David Newhardt
David Newhardt will be coming out with a T/A coffee table book soon. All three of my cars will be in there. He shot the LS1 T/A and the LU5 engine in my blue '83 last week.
Today we did the photoshoot with my silver '83. Heres how it went.
Some of the rig jobs he did for the camera

This also means that the exterior of the car is now finally completed. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Cool! That is such and honor to have your car imoralized like that. A few of us on the boards got our cars in a bird book by Marc Cranswick. I was surprised he wanted to include mine since it is modified so much. But he had quite a few custom birds in the book. Hey be sure to let us know when the book is due out!

Thanks Everyone!
irocbirdbuilder: It hurt watching the tape and suction cups put on the car but he assured me it was safe. He told me they do the same thing with brand new Ferrari's.
redraif: I'll have to check out the book by Marc Cranswick. Congrats on your car being in his book. David wanted 100% bone stock looking cars in his. I even had to swap wheels and center caps from my other '83 for the photoshoot. I'll be sure to let you know when it's out.
90firebird: Thanks for taking the pictures BTW.

Man, I think that is great to have your car documented like that !!
Good job:hail:
Tell me about your front air dam, because it looks completely different that mine. Looks like the one thats on my brothers 91 Firebird.
Here's a shot of mine, that was taken while going through the tech line at the T/A Nats.

Your air dam is the correct one. Firebirds should have the 3 piece air dam. I'm assuming the 2 end pieces on mine broke off or the whole thing broke off and the previous owners replaced the center piece. Car never gets hotter than 1/8th of the guage so I'm happy.

I got my car in the book too! The only IRON DUKE in there.

82FirebirdTA, I love the look of your bird. I wish mine could look as good. I haven't driven my bird in over a year and it is starting look bad. All you need now is an interior for that car and you'll be set.
