Preview pic, modified 91 Z28 Front GFX

Well since I'm going to school for auto-body and I'm going to be repainting my car but I still have to wait awhile before I can get he car in I decided to do something different while I waited.

I decided to try and create the front lip from this picture that was photoshopped.

And well after some cutting, some shaping, and some glueing back together here is the semi-finished product.

Tell me what you think?

Wow the famous photoshopped pic could actually become a reality?

Definitely keep us posted, I'd be curious to see how it turns out.

Looking forward to see that painted and on the car. One of those things that have come up on occation here, but never (as far as I've seen) been done IRL.

Good job!!

I just noticed that its this computers stupid "Smart Filter" program. Oh well. Work computers have their limitations.

Can you pm me the pics? or upload them to this thread as opposed to linking to them?

Do you mean to paint it black in that area instead of cutting it? or to cut it and do it black exactly like the hugger orange japanese camaro?

If you get a chance, mock that up on the car and take a pic. I'd love to see it beforehand.

think youd be able to let use know how u did that. from what i see all u did was cut out a few inches in the middle and then filled the spots that were open fromcuttin it out with some of the plastic form what u cut out? is that about right

i think paint the part black , the part you cut . I think it might look cool . before you paint it and are totally done , do your paint color and dont clear it . take a pic and then send it to me and i can photoshop it for you and if you like it u could do it , and if you dont them just clear the nose and your set.

I took process pics that are scattared about my computer right now. But it was alittle bit mroe then that. I didn't want ot jsut cut a hole in it because it would look like ....well it would look like I jsut cut a hole in it. I wanted to give it a factory look.

I plan on making a tutorial when I'm finished

Sorry but the front end of my car is pretty much completely off the car. Fenders, hood, bumber cover and this lip. I'm taking them into class piece by piece until I can get the whole car in. Next time you see pics of my car it should be completely repainted with ghost flames

I still don't really understand, how can I paint the part I cut if I cut it off already???

Can you do a photoshop to the unfinished pics?

I'm from NS, Canada (like it says in my info) so we don't compete in skills usa, but we do have skills canada that we compete in. and last year 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place we're all from our class
