So I was going for the "wet" look.
Browsing some detailing forums, I came across a guy who said he had great results getting the "wet" look using meguairs deep crystal polish and nxt.
So I first polished the whole car with the deep crystal polish, and then went over it with some nxt. I got great results!

Thanks. There are full body shots on my website and in the TGO readers rides (links in sig). I could not get any today, the garage is too small.

Absolutely amazing, I swear by Meguiars Deep Crystal polish, and whoever painted your car deserves a pat on the back...he did an awesome job!

I gotta agree, your paint is simply amazing! You don't even see shine like that when they're new off the showroom floor.
Personally mine has been hurting ever since I got caught out in hail all the way out in Nashville. I should've known better than to take the car so far away from home!

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I put alot of time and effort researching about detailing cars. I enjoy doing it.
I really have to call the previous owner if he is still in the area and ask him where it got painted. Whoever did it put some serious time into it.

well, first off, Meguairs makes some good products...and I have been happy with alot of them. The products that I buy aren't really "on the shelf" items. I had to order these..and I also got some free samples too, which was cool.
I use "Crystal Shine from this company: http://carbrite.com/
And I use Mist-n-Shine & Shine Master from this company: http://www.wizardsproducts.com/index.html

It definitely shows! Excellent work! I had never seen
such a clean, smooth Camaro! Your car is very worthy
of being in like GMHTP or Super Chevy magazine!
And I thought my car was shiny!

hey IROCThe5.7L, how old is the paint on your IROC? There is noway that can be factory. Factory paint jobs had some orange peel in them...but...yours has definently been wetsanded and buffed

Yes, this is very true. There is NO way to get a paint
job like that from the factory. That has been wetsanded
and buffed, no doubt. A very experienced painter and a
lot of time and effort, and you have a show car paint job!
Heck the whole car inside and out is VERY qualified
to win awards at car shows! I am very jealous, but at the
same time, not as worried. Because if I had that car, I would
go insane too, just to keep it up like that. I would want to
have that car parked inside a climate controlled garage with
NO one touching it or breathing on it!

I have no idea how old the paint is. I'd have to contact the previous owner.
I would have to do some work before getting in a magazine. I have a few rock chips on the bottom of my doors from no mud flaps (bought the car like that, he did alot of highway driving) and my front bumper has a some minor chips. I have the money to fix it, but I got involved in go fast stuff this year. Next year for sure.
Heres some other pics I did not include in the first post:
A little blurry:
Didn't dust off the car before I took this pic

I went for the "wet" look today. First did Meguiars Paint Cleaner (amazing at getting rid of wetsanding marks, and fine scratches), then the Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish, and finally Meguiars NXT. The paint is so slippery now and looks amazing!
