Engine cleaning and detailing

I have degreased my engine a few times using the Gunk Engine Bright stuff but it isnt getting my engine as clean as I would like. Even though there is no grease or dirt on my engine the TPI Plenum and runners still look dirty, Is their any cleaners and methods you guys could reccomend to clean my Engine bay. Thanks alot

sand and polish all of it including the runners. cleaners like engine brite dull them rite up. while your at it polish the altinator and ac parts, get some black spray paint for the brackets, and when your all done spray some clear on the black plastic and hoses ect and it will look new. its a used car resto trick to clear coat the engine to get that clean new shine look. and it does hold up pretty good if you keep it clean from there. rattle can clear is all you need.

oh and for cleaners i like the simple green, cuts grease and dirt real well and smells so nice too

By only adding degreaser your only removing the heavys for the most part, you need to actually scrubb off the crap. Most times you will need to do touchups, and even some hi temp clear coat from Duplicolour works great to keep it really nice... but polishing does look great too... here's mine...

This was my old system before, just painted.

Paint removed.

Polished
