I am gonna have to agree with the majority. Chances are your **** will get stolen eventually. Its one of the main reasons why I don't want a big system in my car because I know it will get broken into eventually. No thanks.

liked it better with contrasting colors. I don't like the updated look you have now. Just my oppinion. Other than that I think it makes the compartment look a little cleaner, would just recommend getting a rear compartment cover so not everyone can see what you got. Great work!
like the idea.... looks very familiar.

not to bad, a few things i would change but overall its nice. those of you worried about theft need to take into account the type of vehicle it is. chances are that isn't a concern at this point.

The updated hatch area looks sweet.

can you still get into the side compartment with the box that high?? Looks like it comes up past the hing point. I would like to do something similar to my hatch but would hate to sacrifice the T-top storage bag.
Also where do you have your amps mounted??

irregardless if it's advertising for the Jl or to thieves, it does look very professionally done.
If you do refinish your inside trim I'd be intrested to see how you do it. Mine are calling out to be re-done.
Also if it where my car I'd have to change that logo to the "activision" one. Thats what it reminded me of when I first saw it.

unless your amp isn't worth showing off a clear plexi window or something in that nature would look better. also matching the plastic would be better.
see how 2 tone isn't very good..

i have a few pictures of the setup as i sold that setup out of the car if that's what your interested in. basically shows the breakdown of the components. i personally like the location of the pieces but i would have done it differently given more time. that setup was a 12 hour turnaround when i was pressured to have a stereo for an indoor show to compete. better use of space could have been made but it served it's purpose with not time to fiberglass.
email me if you want teardown pictures.

alright, so here is the question guys. Should I spray the interior plastic the same textured spray I used on my audio set-up? Or should I just spray the hatch plastic the audio system spray? The thing is, if I would happen to spray ALL of the interior plastic the audio color...My sail panels, my carpet, and my headliner will be grey. What do you guys think?
the grey carpet you can do with since the door pannels are grey/black.
i would strongly advise doing a separate set of pannels as you may not be happy with the outcome and then you will ruin your original pieces.
whatever you do; do not use automotive paint on the pannels.... too glossy and doesn't hold up well to being touched.

hey kandied, in the second picture you posted...it looked like you had the stock grey sail panels. It seemed to look alright. You have anymore pictures from different angles? Showing the color contrast?

this picture has been photoshopped...I think it really looks good...the only thing is that I will probably get alot of over spray..because I can't take the big pieces out because of my roll bar..guess I better get some paper and tape...and a vacuum to suck it all up.
