tried rolling the 90

I don't know if this is the right board or not. if it isn't you can move it. Last night I was going to a friends house and tried to turn and the car said no. put the bastard in the ditch and on the side. i don't see why it did this i was only going about 25 mph and the ground was as hard as concret. thank *** my lady friend and myself were not hurt. the only thing that I can't figure out is how i didnt do any more damage to the car then i did. I slide for about 20 feet or so on the drivers side and all that broke off was the door handle. the mirror is beat up and so is the door and the ground effect is busted but that is all that happened. the paint didn't get scrached on the fender or the rear quater. the door is all that damaged. and the weird thing is I ended up sitting on the door and she was still sitting in the seat as best as she could considering she was above me. I have now demed that I am never driving on dirt roads again with this car. The only thing I can say is *** was on my side last night. and he wanted me to enjoy this car somemore. just thought I'd let you guys know. will try to get some pics tommorow of it.

your telling me. talked to her a while ago and she said that her butt was bruised. my knee is killing me also. I think I might have caught it between the clutch and brake petel becuase i was down shifting(well trying to anyway) and twisted it a bit. But i am not complaining. i will live with the pain because it is my bad knee anyway. but a few bruises and a little pain is better than what could have happened.

I put my car in a ditch once but not as bad as you did. I was being stupid when I did it on a rainy night. Live and learn I guess. I'm glad you and this miss are ok.

LOL. Nope. The ditch wasn't that steep. Just lost control of the car and it slid right in the ditch. The mud was bad... if you step in it your foot would sink through to your ankle.

My dad had to pull me out with his truck.

thaks i'm going to need it. pretty much every thing out of the 90 is going to be going into the 83 so there is going to be alot of work ahead of me. and there is only an engine and rear in the 83 so it will take a little less time there. I am glad that i have all ready pulled the interior before so I know what i am up against. And also the 83 doesn't have any in it so that will aid in installation.

Yeah, the interior would be the easy part I would think. Unless you do go with the full dash swap, that could be some time and work. Other than that though, I think you'll be in good shape there.

No i am just swaping the dash pad. The gauges and what not are different in the RS. The RS is the first year of the new interior so i am sure that there are some difference in the two. I am just waiting for the weather to warm up so i can start working on this stuff. well that and get the cash to but the parts to swap the engine over to a carb.

Yes i've been there too man. Followed a friend out a county road in his bmw. He thought he was going to show me up, We were flying about 75 in a 35 and i slowed down before a turn, corn fields all around, lost him around because i slowed down, and he wasn't about to lose. I came around the turn and he was facing me the other way. He spun around about 3 times at about 70mph before coming to a hault. Luckily on his tires. I came around the turn and saw him when he was turned around. I panicked and slammed on the brakes, only the left front tire locked up and i slid off the side of the road into a corn field.

Luckily, it was just minor scratches, and i was up till 5 am wetsanding and buffing, and nobody ever guessed i ditched it in a cornfield earlier that day.

Definitely learned my lesson! Never gonna drive my baby like that again.
