reflective pin stripping/arch highlighting

So I love my car even though it smells and it looks like I rattlecan sprayed it. 'coz I did

Its currently a dark blue that looks better for being covered in salt and winter dust.
The point I'm making is I've nothing to lose with experimenting at all.
I'm considering painting it the flat black when the weather clears.
However I recently bought some reflective strips from home depot and in a non-drug induced eureka thought it would be cool to highlight the car and pinstripe it with reflective tape. Following the curves of the car and excentuataing them. Just thin little strips not 3's wide.
Think of the bikes from TRON
I was wondering if anyone else has done this or seen it anywhere?
I think it would look superb when other peoples lights caught it.

Re-reading my post it does sound a little crazy. But I can do the body work and flat primer black and place the slices of reflective strip, if it looks cool I'll spray the car with clearcoat if it doesn't then I'll just send it off to be sprayed professionally.
But I can imagine the glinting shape of the car being caught by headlights. If I was another driver I'd def' notice. Just the way I'd notice a lurking cop car.

Nobody ever considererd doing this then?
