I did a few search's but came up with nothing of what I wanted to ask. I have an '87 GTA and I hate the moulding on the doors. I want it off. My question is, are the strips on this year revited in or screwed? I want them off but if there's gonna be holes under it than **** it. Thanks!

You're talking about the rubber moulding strips that go down the center of the door and fenders? Its only 2 sided tape that holds those on... I removed them from my Firebird when I was doing body work on it.
Yep, nothing but adhesive tape holding them on. Use some fishing line or dental floss to saw them off. Then you got some work to do to get the old ahesive off. Goo Gone, or 3M adhesive remover works well.

Actually, to make it easier to take the adhesive off, there's a special wheel for a dremel or drill that will take the stuff off very easily... if you know anyone involved in graphics they will probably have one

But be prepared to have a noticeable discoloration. Those have been there for like 15 years & the rest of the paint gets discolored by the sun.

That's true... not to mention that a lot of care will have to be taken to make sure the paint underneath the molding doesn't get damaged when taking it off... also, if the car has ever been painted you may have unmatching paint underneath the molding strips.
