What do you guys think of these rims I bought today off my neighbor for 400$ flat out.He had them on his 60 something nova but then he sold it and kept the rims,btw,each rim cost him 250$ and they all have new tires with only a few thousand miles on them..The rims have only a few thousand miles on them also ,he bought them from americanracing .com,their called torque thrust II.Their 15x7

I dont like 15's on third gens, sorry...i think the $400 woulda been better spent on some nice rims...but if you like them, keep them.

 

What I really wanted was a set of the black cross lace gta rims/trans am rims But the best deal Ive found is like 700 for just the rims.So since these are new tires and rims I jumped on it ,on top of that I was sick of the 14 turbos Ive had on there.And Im still waiting for my tax return so its all good.Ill just have to eat mac n cheese for a little bit but hey,Im happy with the rims.

 

They still make 15's j/k looking a lot better than turbo rims.

 

I like the wheels. Though 16s or 17s look better, any 15 is better than any 14.

Love the choice in rims. Give it a slight rake and some wider rear meats, then it will look like the muscle car it is.

Nah, all kidding aside, I think 17" rims are bad azz, but that doesn't mean 15's or 16's dont look good. It's whole different look, and I think it fits the car great. I can't tell you how many compliments I get on my stock Iroc rims.

 

i think they look GREAT! now shove some 275/60/15's out back and call it a day. i know they will work on a 7" wheel, that's what i got!

I think the TT2's look better than the bowling ball's w/o the caps.

Nice deal! I think they look good on your car. I would like to see it wiht the louvers off.....Paint the drums black. Also, do they need polishing? or is it the rain that make them look a tad dull?

who cares if they are 15s, they look great!

 

Id suggest painting the drums black. I think blue drums would look like overspray from when the car was painted. I think the black would make the wheels stand out more too.

 

ah, yes, but with a 7 or 8 inch rim with the right backspacing, the tires won't stick out and look all rednek...

I'll second that. In the "real world" I wouldn't expect more than $50 for a set of 14" N89 turbo rims. I've seen the Knight Rider loons bid sets of 14" N89's well into $600 on eBay.

 

It looks like I am going to have to list them on ebay.The reason I listed it here first was to see if anyone in socal needed them and then I wouldnt have to deal with packing and shipping,oh well,you guys had your chance for a set for 80$ but now that will be the reserve on ebay .

 

I like the TT2 style, looks ok in 15s, nothing to get overlly excited about, but still looks good.

yeah, maybe, but the dual exhaust on mine is intimidating to most, not some.

 

I imagine the sound of your exhaust would keep most ppl at bay too.

Well first off I have to say you build you car the way you like it and if it looks good to you then thats all that matters right!

For me though I think 15 inch rims aren't as attractive as 17 and 18, on third gens. I would have saved $400 more and got these rims and tires on ebay.

i guess i cant complain , it just shows the age of the owner, i guess younger kids like the bigger rims and older guys tend to like the smaller rims because thats what they used to see . o well .
