Well, my method is very inefficient, but it works.

I just clean my windows, windshield, t-tops and hatch every day or 2 inside and ot with windex.

The guys at a local tint shop I know once told Me that the only thing they knew of that worked for sure for those is to clean it real good with brasso (brass cleaner)
I haven't tried it, but intend to eventually.

This method always work for me. Get steel wool and always lubricate the windows with water to make sure there is kind of like a padding w/ liquid on the window and scrub your windows but not too hard b/c you don't want to scratch you window. That gets the spots all out.

If they are recent water spots and not some that have been accumulating over time, hot water will also do the trick. It breaks down the calcium and lime in the hard water. If the spots have had time to etch, then the steel wool option might be your best bet.
