well ill be posting some pics of it once i get her home. and yeah the entior is in really really good condition, no tears fading, saggy headliner, nothing like that. the carpet still looks new. the engine bay is clean enough u could eat off it. it needs a tranny eventually, but that will be coming out of my 87 trans am now parts car. (the piece of crap caught fire today, not bad but still freaked me out) it also needs roughly 400$ worht of front end work...ball joints, idler, tie rods, im gonna replace it all.

3 thirdgens, ur a lucky man! , nice car
haha yeah the parents are kinda pissed, but the 83 is gone tomorow and the old t/a is goin to a buddys for a week or so
The fender gap is not an issue with the door sagging or requiring shims. If you look under the car where the fender gets bolted on, the flange with the bolt is bent outward. The flange should be straight up and down, not flush against the bottom of the car. Carefully bend the flange back down and the gap will gradually disappear.

You may be able to fix the fenders but (it's hard to tell from the pics) it looks like the originals have been replaced with aftermarket ones. All the aftermarket front ends I have done
on the F-body have ugly gaps at the pillar. Theres not much you can do about. I may be wrong but the hood and fenders look like
they fit together good so this leads me to suspect this. The after market parts will line up with each other but its hard to match them to original stuff, But its still a nice car!

Gotta love Gunmetal! Awesome car dude!
BTW, I thought they only came out with the digital dash for '88?

Nice car, nice find.
I have fender gap to but my car was side swipped when the orig. owner had it. I also found out the orignal owner was a high school girl, explains the 137,000 miles and 2 hours vaccuming sand out of the trunk.
Again thats is a nice car, hard to find them like that sometimes.

thanks for the kind words guys, i really like this car there just a few things right now thats makin me mad everytime i drive it. one is the tranny ****in up occasionaly and the cooling fans not coming on...but im in the process of fixin those soon. and whats weird about this car is i have an 87 T/A with the digital dash...everything looks exactly the same down to the dor panels. the only thing thats different are the seats in the GTA have power lumbar and teh leg support. so this makes me wonder if my T/A could possibly be a GTA just the owner b4 me didnt know? their both the same year also. the vin decoder isnt werkin right now so i dont know for sure
i got rid of the 83 yesterday too...it almost brought a tear to my eye seeing the way the guy treated it pulling it outa my drive way...it was my first car i ever bought and i wanted to keep it, but sometimes u just gota let go for bigger and better things.
If you got the RPO Code list in the console then look for the Y84 code, if it has it it is a GTA.
