what do you think of this

well i finally got an engine. i went out to long island yesterday morning to watch them dyno it and bring it back home. the motor made 576hp and 582 ft-lb. not to bad. i had them leave the block bare(no paint). i brought it back to my work(bodyshop) and painted it up really nice. you can't really see but i painted it the same color as the car, sunset orange metallic. i can't wait to get it in. let me know what you think of it.

yeah how big and who did the work and is it on pump gas , And if you made that much im betting you spent around 8000, i know shafrioff is about that much . But that should really get the car moving .Mid to low 11's i bet .

434ci scott shafrioff motor. it made those numbers on 94 octane. 10.5:1 compression makes it street friendly. this thing sounds insane. my complement to the guys at shafrioff. they build a hell of a motor and they are very friendly. i highly reccomend them to anyone who has that type of money to spend. this motor cost me 10,930.00. its alot of money but i think its well worth it.

I could care less if that motor was pink, that thing makes some sick power. I'm guessing low 11's - high 10s or faster with a good setup.

Awesome job you know i love your car

im still up in the air about what trans to use. im not sure if i should get a build 5 or 6speed or go automatic. im leaning more towards th400. as for the valve covers, they are not decals. they are encraved. they are actually really nice. i kinda wish that they didn't say the size of the engine but whatever, they are still really nice. heres a pic. sorry my camera is such a piece of crap.

not too bad I guess. From that one pic you first posted, all i could really make out was the flame and it looked cheesy.

Sickness!!! Talk about adding icing to the cake. Your car is gonna be sick when its complete. Damn wish I had that kinda $$ to drop on a motor .... hopefully someday ...

Looks great!! Do you think the SOM paint on the block might bubble when it heats up? I was told body paint on an engine is a no-no but I have no experience with it, so kind of curious ....

I would say go with a G-Force built T5.

madre de dios

...what an engine, I really liked your car before and all, but now it kicks some serious ***.

I say go w/ a built 6 speed and some sweet gears, but thats just me.

still cheaper than a new corvette, and it has more go and more character

sweet ride, sweet.....

So is this going to be a track car with big slicks, or is this thing gonna be kicking some cobra and C6 *** in the city???

Pretty sick commitment there. Nice choice though. If only I had the funds to truely "express" myself through my car. lol Can't wait to see the finished product. Maybe even in person someday at a meet or something. Any eta on finished product?
