No offense but if you had 6000 in stereo equipment alone why not get insured, tint your windows, get a security system, create a lock box for some of the equipment, or at least throw a blanket over the stuff when you have it parked.

Just goes to show that if someone wants your stuff, they will take it.....

Reason #1, why i spend all my money to make a car go fast....and not sound loud, stealing engines isn't as common......

Sorry to hear about it though, Insurance prehaps?

Had the same thing happen to me last summer. 4pm in front of my parents house in the suburbs. Car was parked in the driveway in plain sight from all the neighboors and from the street as well as the intersection. I don't know how the hell no one saw em.

Pro's here as well, pulled the window back reached in and unlocked the door, popped the hatch from the switch on the dash. All the calbes were unpluged and uncut, amp was in the spare tire well, they took all the screws out and set the cover on the tank hump.

If I would have been home I would have kicked their ***. Mine was insured though. Got a check for $1800 to replace the stuff plus money for install and parts.

Full coverage $100 deduct Comp, $250 deduct coll. is only $1250 a year for me(23, M, single, 5 tickets in last 2 years, 2 accidents) from State Farm in Iowa. I get a discount for having my truck on the insurance and a renters policy.

I think the comp is only $300 or so to add to the liability, well worth the investment IMHO.

this sort of thing is happening more and more around here. (im in alex's area and my gf got her WHOLE FRIGGEN CAR STOLEN

it isnt fair...

you work your azz off, and some azzhole comes and takes it away in seconds.

And, they get away with it 99.9% of the time.

Great world we live in huh..

makes me wonder how there are still tuners around with the bullshiit that is happening..

its sickening

alex, i feel for you man..

take it in stride, and make it better..it could have been worse..it always could be worse.

*** bro...I feel your pain. Several months ago, I installed a kick *** stereo system in my Integra. I kept telling myself tht I should get an alarm. I enjoyed it for about two weeks, when some low life cockroaches broke through the passenger side window and took it all. My Sony Head unit, Polk Momo speakers, Kicker 5 channel amp. I felt like I had been raped. I was mad at the world and the ****** that did this. The worst part of it all is that it happened in my own damn drive way!

Anyway, to resolve this issue, I installed a paging alarm to the car. Now if anyone even tries to glance inside the car, the alarm sends me a warning. I have my baseball bat ready for that night when they come back!

Concealed carry permit and an ankle holster can be an impressive anti-theft system.

Sorry to hear about your loss man, only chance would be with such a huge rip (you said 35 cars were hit?) that gives the police a much bigger pot to work with on turning up stolen goods and catching the bastards.

About 3 years ago I had replaced the engine in my old 92 bird and had it parked outside the office for a couple of weeks. I had all ready removed all the stereo stuff, and somebody broke in and stole the interior!!!

Got the brake handle, door panels, door sills, rearview mirror, etc.. WTF was up with that?

Real sorry for the loss. Everyone needs to keep in mind insurance is a gamble you really need to take..

First, not detailing and appearance related.
Second, you know the rule about the three uploaded images and you chose to ignore it.

82knightrider- If you have a problem with the rules, then leave. They're not that hard, so stop whining when people enforce them.
