Chroming my rims, worth it or not???????

I have the American Eagle Alloy rims #203 and I got a reply back from http://www.aaarims.com
To chrome my rims it would cost $500, $60 for shipping, and $65 for the center caps. Since my rims are all aluminum is this worth the money for it. Granted I would never have to worry about water spots or have to constantly polish them like I do w/ my aluminum rims. The turn around is like 3-4 weeks to chrome them and they have a 2 year warranty on their workmanship. Any input guys?

Mike, I was going to do the same thing to my stock wheels. I found out that for the $, I could get brand new wheels, any type almost. If you really like you wheels, then do it. If not, and you would not mind some differant styles on their, get new ones, that is what I ended up doing.

Good luck!

PS Now powder coating is another story. If ya want white (or any color) wheels, then it is worth it. Mostly because you have 2.

These are the only rims that I really like on an F-body. I was trying to see if I could find these style in chrome but only aluminum. So maybe my tax returns will pay for this and some other toys as well. I'm expecting a fat return. Later

I've seen your car and it's hard to say.personaaly I think paint to match oversized rims look sick(as in good) in most applications.I'd rather go sky diving a few times or take a phat vacation than get my rims chromed...waste of money unless your filthy rich and really don't care.

i noticed u have billets, if polished professionally, they would look just as good chrome and should cost less than gettin them chromed again, IMO. Mag Masters has a really good reputation for polishing rims, plus they dont have to remove the tire from the rim. their number is (714)541-9777

This is just my opinion, I don't think chromed wheels look good at all.
