Custom washer tank????

Has anyone made a custom washer tank? I was thinking about making a round aluminum tank that would look like a catch tank. Something like the BeCool design. Has anyone here done this? Any ideas where to mount it? I would think the only good place would be right at the side of the radiator. I figured put the pick up on the bottom and a cap of some sort on top.

sounds like a cool idea, maybe make it out of a clear plastic, that looks like glass?

i say keep the stock mounting location.

You could use a washer tank/pump from another car too. I've got a small one from the rear of an RX7 that I attempted to turn into an anti tailgating device.
I like the chrome catch can idea. But a pump will still need to be hidden. The first spot to hide it that comes to mind is in front of the radiator underneath the plastic trim that surounds the hood latch. Or be lazy and use the 4th gen tank/pump. It fits in the stock location IIRC and is much smaller.

I'm still going to use the stock wiper motor that has the internal pump. So I guess that I only need a tank that I can suck from that will let in a little air as it empties and has a way to fill. I think I'm going to make a round aluminum tank with the becool screw on cap on the right side of the picture and a hose nipple on the bottom.

I used a ford exploder one myself, it is a combination unit with both washerfluid and overflow about the size of a battery. It's mounted on the driver side.

From what I have seen most of those aluminum overflow bottles only hold a quart. In a Phoenix summer that just ain't gonna get 'er done. To bad I like them though. But I might give it a try.

Ofcourse I'll probably have to do black chrome!!
