Your car lives in a bubble, where is the fun in that? Nice car man. How often do you bring it out?

 

Are those HRE's or Iforged wheels? Any close up pics of them? I am trying to decide which company to go with to replace the snypers

 

I take to car shows it cuts down on the dust in the engine bay and under the car stays cleaner.. i still drive it to the show but it helps alot with detailing the car so its not covered in dust before a show ....its harder with a black car

I was going to geuss that! I have been looking at that same wheel now for ahwile. You may have made up my mind. Man that looks good.

 

a bubble will run 300-400 the lip is 3-4 inch

 

i was wrong on the lip i measured it with a tape 4 1/2- 5 inch

My 25th T/A is "bagged" most of the time.

 

The Cover is a california car cover supremeweave very nice cover i'm really happy with it its soft like silk but isn't heavy at all.

 

I forgot summit show ,super summit(open show) is june 4...camaro show(just camaro) sept 17,18

 

the paint is ppg gloss jet black i don't have then number i'll ask my paint guy it has 15 coats of paint on it 2 sealer coats 2 primer coats 5 base black and 6 coats of clear...

Awesome! Beautiful car man. Some of those Spohn billet strut mounts would compliment that engine bay nicely.

 

that painter is goood.. i do some painting at a autobody class.. man that guy was good.. black is the hardest paint to color. 15 coats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is alot! how much did that set you back?(if you dont mind me asking)

What steps do you have to take to get her back in the bubble
Like,do you you bust out the pressure waher ,clean under the car,the insides of all the wheels,wipe down the engine bay before you put her back in the bubble

 

Wow... that garage pic cracks me up. No dirt anywhere. Nothig on the walls. Wheels covered. Car on a plate. Car covered. And all of it in a "bubble".

I bet if you have kids they have strict instructions on proper behavior around the 'Maro.

Well mom is building a new house for us to move to while this one sells...once this ones sells she is going to build one in NC for her. The new one here I will rent to own from her! Being single means no loan for me!

I finally broke down and told her about all the car projects I have...the 2 car garage turned into 4 with a 2 car carport! The SQ ft on the garage space is about what the house is!

 

the number is 9700 if tit is the strait black, and probably the dbc concept, and for cleat im guessing concept 2000 clear from ppg, primer mostlikely is k 36 filler\sandable primer for that smooth look.

thats whats on my iroc, and it looks like a freekin mirror . dont have any picks right now because i just bought a new vaio laptop.

you might be able to find some after pics in one of the roll cage threads in the suspention boards.

nice car buy the way. just remember to use a buildable wax to keep it from hazing from swirl marks.

6 coats of clear my ***

 

wow I wish my '88 camaro looked half that good!

 

if the painter was using say a sata jet 2000 digital like i have you can lay the clear on in really thin coats, kinda pointless, because you can accomplish the same affect with 2 or 3 heavy coats, like i did on mine, just got to be carfull not to run the clear.

but its not likely he put 6 coats, mabee equal to 6 coats , the idea is the less coats the less of a chance for dirt, fish eyes and everything else that likes wet paint.

I agree i usually do 3 wet coats but you do have to watch out for runs.

 

I'm not a painter but this is what I was told the paint is enamel and I ask my paint guy serveral times he said six coats of clear, so maybe he is bsing me..don't know

 

the coolant tank and washer are stock just painted to match the color of the car

 

He might have wetsanded 3 of those coats off.

 

full detail job on the entire car ...like your getting ready for a car show and . deflate the bubble and fire her up and roll to the car show ...cuts down on the dust from just sitting around

 

bubbles are for real alot of collector's that i know use them when I seen one in person I had to buy one

Only you Jason, only you. But being you pull first place and best of show where ever you go, it's not a bad idea. If you intend to use it at the shows to prep the car, be careful of the guys walking past that they don't deflate it while you're in it. That's about the only way to stop you at a show. Good luck this year in the shows.
