I was somewhat suprised that I didn't get a call, though not for my car. I have a friend with a 16k mile 100% stock 89 IROC in remarkable condition, and we're only 15 miles from Hemmings.
A couple years ago I took pics of our two cars together. It was a very interresting picture to see 2 red IROCs, one 100% stock and one modified.

I'm not aware of 1LE's coming with a decal delete. I wonder if that car has been repainted?
Either way, that's not my friend or his car. I would post a pic, but the site I had them on is gonzo...
If I remember, I'll throw them onto a cd and bring them to work tomorrow and upload them. It really is a cool set of pics with a stock and modified IROC together.

The car has around 7,000 miles. IIRC it had around 4,000 when he bought it. Its never had any body or paint work. Its a 350, auto car. He added the Camaro banner.
Kevin lives right down the street from me, id be happy to get any pics for ya

pics would be sweet, especially undercarrage from every angle possible, underhood from every angle possible and interior from every angle possible. I've seen a million pics of IROCs, but any time I can get pics of the less commonly seen stuff, especially factory markings, and 1LE unique stuff, I get all tingly inside.
The car being used for the mag is a white '87 IROC-Z from NJ. The car has tan leather interior, 350 and ttops with only 20k miles. I spoke with the magazine about using my car, but I'm too far away from what they were looking for. The car is for sale also.
Hey dude, where've you been?
The article will be in the October issue of Muscle Machines from Hemmings. It'll be out Sept 5th. I'm glad I subscribe to the magazine! I'm looking forward to reading the article.

I just went to a thursday night cruise at Hemmings this past week. Good turnout. Unfortunately, no thirdgens there.
I'm always here; usually reading History/Rest.
Glad to hear Hemmings article is coming out shortly. Should help to increase interest in our cars.
I'm still subscribed to Hemmings Muscle Machines AFAIK. May run out soon, though. Gonna let it expire. I understand that their new format may be better for newsstand sales, and they can spread out car types across more magazines (Classic Car, Muscle Machines, etc.). But I prefered their previous magazine Special Interest Autos. SIA gave more in depth reviews and contained less advertizing clutter and car value hype. Can't blame them for wanting to make a few bucks. I'd do the same.
Can't wait to see the TGO comments on the upcoming article. HMM better do their homework or they'll get flamed.
