Poll: opinion wanted

Hi everyone,

I wanted for a long time the Ronal R-15 wheels; either in chrome or white painted finish... Now it's the time as I do have the $$ for the rims and tires combo.

I know that this bebate does come often but I didn't see many white camaro convertible with them in chrome. The only white car I have seen threw this site is the white firebird wich I don"'t recall his name...

I had my original wheels professionnaly redone last summer in a machined polish with bright white finish.

Would you keep them and put the money in suspension/cornering work or go with the R-15 with 275 40 17 all around instead???

Also, if you have some white camaro (91-92) with these wheels in chrome or painted insert, please post them to help me make my decision:-)

Thanks in advance!!!

Those would be good looking rims but i already like the 91-92 Z rims, so i say keep your original rim and do suspension. But its up to you man. Which one would make you happier?

In fact, I would like to do both! But since I am on a 3000.00$ budget this summer, I have to decide... The only thing that would push me to order the R-15 asap is their Final production announcement that was recently done. I know they already stated it as final productions couple times ago, but we are never too sure, since the third gen are getting older and older and the camaro are not in production anymore...

I do not have a digital camera but you all knows what a white convertible 91 camaro looks like.

Would you go for the wheels this summer and suspension during the winter then??

Is this white Trans am yours?? The wheels have black inserts and they looks nice to me!

Since the special is 195.00$ for silver, I think I will go for them and have them redone here for 3-4 grams. Ronal charges 110.00$ per wheels for the custom paint; just too much compared to my blocal shops...

Anyone have pics of either camaro, TA or Birds with these wherels in white or chrome??

I would probably get the wheels since you never know if they will stop. If you do get them make sure you get ones with the inserts painted. White or black will both look great. The wheels knida look weird without the inserts painted.

I'd go with the Ronals (in silver). The Ronals with 275/40-17s all around will improve your handling and also look good. You have a wider contact patch and less sidewall than you do on those stock wheels. Not to mention some upgraded rubber always helps no matter what the size/wheel. So it's like a 2 in 1 upgrade.

I know that it was night and day once I put my 275/40-17s on, I have 17x9 Camaro SS wheels, but still same idea. Huge difference in the corners from my old 15x7 stock Firebird wheels with 215 tires. Not to mention the ladies love the chrome

Jungleman,

How are your Tockico HP springs/shocks/struts combo?? I intend in buying either them or Tockico Sprint kit later...probably after the wheels.

As for tires, there will be improvment in sie but my current tires are brand new: I have 245 50 R16 Yokohama in front and 255 50 R16 BF Goodrich Drag Radial at rear.

Even if I buy the Ronal, I will still keep my OE wheels/tires combo for the drag. I will probably go with streetable and more durable than drag radial Khumo or BF KDW...

There is no one with pics or links???

Excellent! They are the same shock as the Illuminas except that they are permanently on the "medium" setting, which is still very firm. You absolutely can't beat them without spending twice as much for Bilsteins, they're better than the KYBs from what I heard.

The only time I don't like them is when I'm driving on a poorly maintained road

I def think I will go with Ronal's for now. But as soon as I will refill the project's wallet, I will go with the Tockico Hp springs/shocks/struts combo wich will lower the car for 1 inch. My concern is with the 17 inch wheels, will I be able to drop it without rubbing issue?
