New Momo Steering Wheel and 18' rim pictures

Hi Guys,
I am redoing some new things with the
interior. Here's the new Momo Wheel.

Here is also a picture of low the car really
is. Again, some controversy as to how low
the car an sit when having 18' rims.

I like the wheel, how pricey was it with the installation kit? Also, what other interior mods are you planning on doing? I have an '88 convertible and have been working on a few. Intereseted in any unique suggestions you might have heard of or done yourself.

Hey Guys,
The wheel was about $225 and the adapter was
around $80. I am trying for a Momo theme in
the car. I have the Momo Street Racing
seats and the Momo Shifter. I think that's
all I will do with the interior.

I am also re-painting the console Black with
some simple yellow accents.

Thanks

Tommy

What are you gonna do about that center console? Oh, the wheel and shifter look cool, BTW.

damn...i have always said that you have the nicest thirdgen i have ever seen, and it keeps getting better. Have you ever thought about MacEwen overlays? That would look good on your car.

Anyway, these are the Macewen overlays:

go there to see the overlays.....I haven't put them on my car yet, but i will soon. I think with your interior being all custom you might want to put them on. They would look bad as hell.

I'm not sure about this but aren't the 90 IROCs suposed to have the 5500 red line and a 140 speedo? Just asking because Mr.Iroc is either an RS with great body work ;-) j/k or has somebody been trying to keep the original guages at low miles!? I bet I'm wrong about this but I just figured that all IROCs would have had the 140 cluster and not the RS 110.

Jon,
That's a great question. I think only the 350's came with the 140 mph guage?..or could
it be that they had them on specific year
cars? Those are the original guages however.

Maybe a fellow Thirdgenner can help us on this?

Thanks

Because when the 305 TPIs were made in 86 they had no plans yet for a 350 so some like my Traans Am came with a 140MPH speedo.

Mr. IROC-Z you are my friggen hero. I totally love everythign you have done to your IROC so far. It all looks great!

one question though, did you have the 5 speed to begin with? or did you take out a automatic and replace it?

One of the things i want to do is swap out my th700R4 for a richmond 6 speed, or other quality built trannsmissin.

oop! back to work!

IROC-Z: that steering wheel looks awesome. I'm not a big fan of non-original parts but that MOMO (or should I say ****) complements the car nicely.

I just ordered MOMO's catalog and can't wait to get it. Do you know if they have push-button shift ***** (for automatic trannys)?

Austin,
The only reason why I got the steering wheel
is because I have MOMO seats. I don't think
MOMO makes automatic shifters. I bought
a MOMO shifter and it sucked! It didn't
even fit my B&M Ripper shifter. I had to put
the dremel to it, and after so much time,
it still didn't fit correctly.

Finally, I just went with a B&M shift ***.
Somtimes the expensive stuff sucks and the
cheap stuff is better.

Finally somebody with a MOMO wheel other than myself!! I thought I was all alone in that. Mine's an older version of Ferrari F50 steering wheel though. It has the same spyder but a simpler grip. The spyder is also black. I bought my steering wheel at a junkyard back home for 600 Rupees, equal to $10. Sweet deal huh? It was gunked up with grease and what not though, so I had to wash it down and oil the grip but the effort was well worth it.

I looked just about everywhere for an adaptor kit but I couldn't find one. Finally, I just removed the IROC original wheel and bent the hub down to the right diameter for the MOMO wheel. Now all I need is a horn button for it. Any idea where I can find one?

IROC-Z: does MOMO make the correct adapter for Camaros? Did you have any problems installing your's or was it fairly straight forward? I'm going to be ordering one within the next couple weeks-probably the "Top Power".
