I've used it before. Depending on the needs of your paint and the weather you see (lots of rain or not) a yearly wax job may be all you need. Excessive waxing eats your paint and adds the swirls that you see in some paint jobs. Of course all that is taken car of with a polish annaully too.

Well not to be a jerk, i am just trying to provide information, but he is right, and if you use it as a wax, it will shine up your paint nicely, but it wont protect it at all, so the 1 year point is completely lost.

That's what I would do. I use a different polish than this, but I follow up with a light coat of wax to protect the polish and the finish. Just put a light coat of wax on. Don't rub it in or it could remove the polish.

Polish is not a protectant. It will fill in slight swirls and bring out the shine. Most waxes have minor abrasives in them which clean the paint surface. If the paint is oxidized, wax can bring back the shine by removing the oxidation. On a good paint, wax will protect, but it still is slightly abrasive. When applying over a polish, don't rub it in. Just apply a thin coat to protect the polish and seal it in. Rubbing it in will activate the abrasives and will remove the polish.

I understand your point, but isnt the point of polish to be the abrasive compound, or "cutter" and to be completely removed from the paint, thats what i have always believed.

Maybe what we're discussing are 2 different types of polish. I think your referring to the polishes that bring out the shine, i.e. polishing compounds, etc..
I'm referring to the polymer polish or sealant. Once the car has the shine from using the polishing compounds, I use a polymer sealant/polish as a top coat, then a light coat of wax to lock it all in. Glazes and polymer polishes feel great after they are applied, but after the first rain, they feel rough again.
If I'm not getting my point across, maybe Kandied needs to bail me out. I might be using the wrong terminology!

Yeah that cleared it up enough for me, i was just not aware of the polymer polishes you were referring to, just the compounds. We learn something new every day.

I never used to wax after using Nu-Finish. Water seemed to bead up just fine after application.

I just ordered the Zaino kit from Zaino products on line.
I have heard that thier product is supposed to be some of the best - it should be as much as it cost.
Check out the gloss on this third gen.
