Couple last pictures of my Car as a Red car
Couple last pictures of my Car as a Red car
Here's a few pictures I took today, Probably the last pix to be taken of the car while it is Red. I am in the process of buying a house, and as soon as I do the Formula will be torn down to nothing but the frame, quarters and roof and be rebuilt with either a 355 TPI engine or a Buick turbo 6, built 700r4 trans and the car will be repainted a different color. I was looking for anything but a red car when I bought this one in March of 98, and have wanted to repaint it a different color ever since. I am still trying out paint schemes, the majority will be Chrome Yellow, but I am 2 toning the car and haven't decided on the second color yet. Anyway enjoy the pix!

yellow? I dunno, I like the red. everything you've done so far is tasteful as hell, so I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be cool too. Two tone might be pretty nice looking. I'd have to see it I think.

Not a big fan of two-tone personally. One-color thirdgens look more modern and classy IMO. But judging by your taste, whatever you do will look good
If anything with yellow I would go with black or dark grey.

yeah, yellow and red...i've seen it....McDonalds.

I think one of the first vipers to come out in 93 was a red with yellow stripes/wheels.
I can't help but think Ronald should be driving if its a red/yellow combination.
I like the idea of silver and a charcoal accent color. I also like the deep metalic oranges (sunset and such).

Yellow and Gunmetal would probably look cool
Maybe get the spokes/hub of the rims powdercoated gunmetal and leave the outer part chrome/polished?? Senior Member

Something like that would look pretty cool, w/ the two colors meeting at the body line exactly like thatMy future F'Bird will be painted similar to that, but gunmetal on bottom and black on top. Or maybe candy blue bottom and black top. Now that I have a good photoshop program, I can start doing color changes to some of the GTA's I've found here and elsewhere on the web.

I've never even heard of those hahha. I was using Paint and MS Photo Editor for a long time, and I finally got Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 the other day, so now I can start doin' some real good photoshops
This is one of the MAJOR 'shops I did using Paint and PE...

I took a pic of my lowered 4 door Cavalier and then did this:
Shaved handles, locks, extended & molded GFX, slammed it, cut the back off and turned it into a mini-truck, molded the mirrors, and added the clear bumper markers to the back. Not too bad for basic, free editing programs. The car originally looked like this...

Now that I have PSP 7, I'm gonna do some 'shops of GTA's so I can get ideas for the future when I buy one

Thanks
Some day I prolly will hack the car to pieces to make a neat lil mini-truck. The deprecition on them is huge, so it won't be worth selling neway - I paid $7K for it, now (if it was un-modified) it'd be worth like $5K and I've had it for two years only. And since it's currently a project car, it might be worth $4K since there's a lot not-yet-done on it.

That car looks too nice to rebuild.
I'd keep it and build another in a different color.

That photoshop is nice, but the two tone on the hood is only going to be on the Ram Air 1 style hoodscoop, the rest of the hood and nose will be Yellow. But it gives me a better idea than the crappy picture I colored out of a greyscaled image of Zephyr's car
