17' Chrome Iroc wheels

I am considering purchasing a set of 17 x 9 iroc chrome rims from Performance Wheel Outlet for my '89 iroc. Does anyone have a picture of this wheel on a car? Does anyone have opinions on this aftermarket rim company?

First of, the rim is 17x8 and not 17x9.

Yes, Performance wheels is a good place to
buy your rims. This is where I purchased
my 18's. What are you going to buy....
polished or chrome? If polished, I recommend
that you call them and ask them to send you
a the raw wheel...unpolished...it will also
be cheaper. Then, go to a place and have them professionally polished. The polish
job that Performance tires does is not the best. Trust me on this one.

just to let you know that before you get them mounted you shoul have the rims polished real nice then find a powdercoater and get them coated in clear. my friends and i just did it and its great, when the wheel gets dirty you no longer ahve to clean then polish it. all you do is hose em off and wipe em down simple as that. the polish is kept protected by the powder. we got em down for 55 bucks a rim which included polishing

good luck

Those "18 look good. I was wondering about the chrome ones. Does the rim look right all chrome or is painting necessary like on the polished ones? Any more pictures anyone?

Mo,

What style(year) IROC wheels are those? I can't tell from the side shot. Did you purchase them chromed or did you have it done?

Mr. Iroc Z's wheels are called "one line IROCs" and the 16" chrome Irocs are refered to as "two line IROCs".

I can't find the 18" on Performance Wheel Outlet's website - did they stop making them...?

I have the Game Over edition of GMHTP right in front of me, and on page 13, there is an ad by Performance Wheel outlet. In there they have 18X8 Iroc rims for $1175 a set Chrome, or $899 a set polished. Looks like they still make them.

Are the chrome "17 wheels form PWO the two line or the one line rims? I would like to see a better picture of those "16 rims. I do like the picture of them but just can't get close enough.

Mr. IROCZ said that PWO has the newer style rims now, I don't know for sure though.

Just got an email from PWO - they've stopped making the 18" ones... You better hold on to those rims Mr.IROC-Z...
