I just bought a Bird for that purpose. I only gave $50 for it as a roller. No engine no tranny but a good dent free never wrecked body, so I'ts not like I am doing to a perfectly good car. More than likely I am gonna sell my race only Nova and build it as a KARR racecar. I think it would be fun at the track and get a lot of grins.

KITT was cool back in the day. A bit cheesy these days.

I can see it as a novelty but not as a daily driver or anything.

David H definately is the only man for that show, but definately is just plain cheezy. I thought he was good in Sponge Bob though

As for the car, I don't like any shots that are sped up. Car stunts need to be real and if they're gonna turbo boost, explain how turbo boost works =)

The only way I'm building a KITT is to do this with it!

I love the TV show.

I dont love all the 1/2 assed clones running around out there and the way they drive prices up on restoration parts...

I can appreciate a nicely made clone. But they are very few and far between.

Never a truer word spoken, i reckon bowling ball hubcaps will be more expensive than a full car shortly.

Ive nothing against replicas if they are accurate, sticking a flashing red light on the front by itself is just not it.

I still don't understand the reason prices are up for the "bowling ball caps", since most of the 1982 Trans Ams had them!
I guess everybody threw them away, or turned then into scrap?
I bought co9mplete sets back then, and sold them all before the prices got really high! Darn!
Anyway, I like the show, and the car.
Got to sit in Kitt out in Los Angeles at the TV studios, and got some cool pics too.
Now, as to why everyone seems to hate it, is probably cause it's not a Camaro!
Ha!
Hey TADan, if you like the show, how come the last line in your sig?

Oh ya, I have both seasons on DVD, waiting for season 3!

I dunno, I'd personally just like to see someone with an 82-84 Trans Am that doesn't go "OMG KITT!" and does something a bit different

Knight rider replicas are lame, nobody does them correctly so they aren't truly replicas. They want to buy all the "KR" parts and then they don't do anything with them. Buying hubcaps and shift ***** doens't make it a "KITT" it just makes it look like an '82 Firebird. Here's an idea...go buy an '82 with all the parts already.
