Ideas on Ram Air induction on a carburated engine

I have an 87 Pontiac Firebird Formula 4bbl LG4 engine, and Im getting an ASCD Ram Air hood, and I was wondering if there were any Filter systems that might fit the ASCD Ram Air hood for a carburated engine. Any suggestion(s). If I could change my engine to a TPI or a TBI, could I possibly get a ram air kit? Please help, I really want this to work! Thanks.

Check out this steves website here http://members.nbci.com/scauffiel/index.htm for a cool ram air box idea. Im making one like this with the exception that im going to have a snorkel coming from underneath that feeds into the "box"

Well whatever u do, don't swap it to TBI. LoL. Waste of time and money there. If u do a swap, swap to TPI.

Onto the hood, the ASCD ram air hoods back of the hood that rises up onto the winsheild can be cut out. (leave a .5" inch left from the top for strength) and that will give u a cowl induction effect onto your open element (if u have one)

Now there's nothing wrong with TBI. It'll outlast anything else out there. That's why they stopped making TPI in 92, but TBI's were around until 95.

Just ribbing ya..

But 91Bird305 is still right..hehe If you're gonna go through the hassle of going to EFI, TPI is the better route.
