mesh grille inserts for z28 grille
hey, i just bought a z28 grille and installed it on my car. even though the grille looks a million times better than my rs one, the one thing i dont like is the fact that i can see my rad and all the crap behind it. i would like to install a mesh grille infront of it. how did you guys install yours? how did you mount it? how much do i need? thanks!

i'm guessing that you dont have the fog lights do you? with the lights installed you can't see the radiator and all the junk back there...

it's easy, just get some sort of clips and just clip it to the back of the grill. shoot you can even drill a hold in the back of the grill with a screw driver and use zip ties to mount it...and you'll never see the holes

same here, you goto home depot and they have some 'gutter covers'...mesh that keeps leaves out of drainage gutters....its like 2 dollars for almost 3 feet, just cut and mount
....hahaha I dug this pic out, it gives you a good idea of what it looks like, I just find it funny how high my car sat last fall when it got out of the shop

I bought the stuff from Discount Auto. It was a real bright aluminum, but reflects the black from the grill, so it blends in most of the time. I just cut it and used zip-ties to tie it to these bars supporting the front spoiler (not too sure what they were). It hasn't given me any trouble yet. Also, paint all the stuff behind the grill a flat black so it doesn't show through the grill like on CamaroGuy's.
*edit*
One more thing, make sure both the inserts are facing the same way. I know it sounds weird, but if they're not facing the same direction, then one side will look like diamonds, and the other will look like ovals.

i just kinda lodged it in there so its nice and tight...just cut 2 pieces to about the size you need taking the front grille off was nessicary for me but i dunno about how others did it.
Also make sure you shoot back flat or gloss black...cause like was said when the fog lights are removed it looks really ugly. Mine broke in a wreck so i decided to get rid of them and not put them back on.
