I need to ask a favour of everyone on this forum

I've been collecting third-gen media for 2 years. A few days, my computer's MBR got damaged during a power outage. I lost 2 years of media...

-500 megs of video
-1000+ pictures

All from a dial up connection!

So, instead of wasting another 2 years. I am willing to pay someone $10 USD via PayPal if they can send me a disc FILLED with third-gen stuff. If they can send me more than one CD, I'll pay more.

Next semester, I'll be in Film and Video Production 12. I want to make the best third-gen video made to date. Sort of like F-body Havoc, except third-gens. Roughly 20 minutes in length.

I can't take any videos/photos through email. I'm stuck on dial-up.

EDIT:

If people can send me 121 MB email ZIP files, I can put them on my MP3 player.

Please email me at

I appoligize moderators if this is the wrong forum

I would try some recovery software for that hard drive. Some DOS-based programs can read the drive without an MBR (if that's the only thing wrong with it), and even transfer the files to a working drive. If all else fails, spend the cash to get it professionally recovered. Your data isn't gone, just inaccessible.

Unfortunately I'll have to close this at some point, but I'll leave it open for a day or two.

The mod is right. Take it someplace. As long as you are not using a MAC, All your stuff is still infact there. Don't dispare. You can recover it. If you don't know how, or want to learn, def pay someone

The computer is working now, I screwed around to get it working, but I still lost EVERYTHING

If people can send me 121 MB email ZIP files, that'd be cool

I can download them at school, and transfer them to my MP3 player

Pictures, videos, please anything.

Thanks for letting me keep this thread open for today.

I don't know what you mean by that, but a Mac's HD can be recovered just as easily as a PCs.

Dude....why don't you just download stuff while at school, and then transfer it home.

I seriously doubt anyone is going to collect media you *might* like for you.

Good luck

I can't download videos from streetfire at school because they don't have WM Recorder. Programs also can't be installed with at school

sounds like the first person to go download the majority of the thirdgen gallery and send it to him makes some money. Can't remember the link though - it's a member of here's site.

sorry bout your hard drive - seriously if you would have dug into it you could have recovered everything. Nothing quite like the ultimatebootcd
