dude those are otto headlights go to procarparts.com
these are the same headlights way cheaper.
Type in UN46IN-1077CH1 as the sku. and buy
now go to Summit.com and type in headlight.
click on the APC Headlight Conversion Wiring Harness Kits and buy .
Now you have a relayed high volltage kick %^& headlight that will not fry your system for just a little more and total quality you do not have to worry about

Do these sets work for high-beams too? Or will I just need to buy new bulbs?

if you look on the side it says 90/100 watts. If you get the wiring harness you will not have to worry about It.

As I am looking to do the same thing, I just want to be very clear as I will buy this weekend.
Go to
Procarparts.com and buy the new headlights.
Now the question here is do I buy 2 or 4?
http://www.procarparts.com/store-det...=onlinestoreDB
Now I assume I purchase (4) as they go with the next purchase...
Go to summitracing.com and purchase the conversion kit
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
This is the kit for 4, so I assume that my high beams and low beams will all work the same?
So basically 2 or 4? If 4 will high beams work? Will buy and even take pics of installation for everyone just need the right information upfront. Thanks
James

does anybody know of those H4 bulbs give a white white or is it that silly blue crap that I see on all the low-budget imports?

The site describes them as Hyper White bulbs, so I guess they give off white light.
I have a hard time seeing at night, so I'd really like to see how this works out. And how hard it is to install them (I know nothing about electrical work)

The H4 bulb is a low/high beam combination bulb. Why would you want that on a 4 lamp system like a 3rdgen Camaro?
In any event, if you decide to go this route (either the ebay parts or the Procarparts/Summit combination) and you don't like the blue bulbs, you can always pick and choose your headlight colors over at www.luminicsbulbs.com. They have the H4 bulbs in HyperWhite, UltraViolet, PureBlue or JDM Yellow. I can attest to the quality of these bulbs as I have them in both of my other two cars. One car uses H4 high/low beam bulbs, the other uses a combination of various 900x series bulbs for the high beams, another for the lows, and third for the fog lights. So I've got 4 pairs of Lumincs bulbs in total, and I've never had the slightest problem with them. I'm using the HyperWhites and they are just that - WHITE!
But here's another alternative completely. If you buy two sets of the above mentioned conversion kits, plus shipping, from the ebay seller you'll be spending $140. If you buy from Procarparts/Summit you'll drop around $100 for everything, shipping included (I just checked Procarparts on this, $25.67 shipping to California - ouch). Or you can just go to your local autoparts store and pick up Sylvania Silverstars for about $25 per lamp. You'll need the H4656ST for low beams and H4651ST for high beams, and all 4 lamps will set you back around $100. Or, you can get all 4 Silverstar lamps, shipped, for $87.30 at http://www.autobarn.net/silstarhalse.html
Yes, when/if a bulb burns out you'll have to spend the full $25 to replace it. But the initial installation is a piece of cake and you don't have to worry about burning up your wires.
It's nice having choices so I thought I'd share.

i got my head lights from prostreet lighting...i got 4 bulbs and headlights for $80 shipped...here they are:
i am switching out the bulbs for silverstars down the road...but these with the fog lamps are bright as hell

I'm not really a fan of the H4 conversions (because of the heat) but when I used them in the past I always went with PIAA bulbs. Expensive but they are the best I've used.

you have a camaro so if you bought these bulbs and fixtures that are capable of high and low in the same bulb so you would not utilize this and it would still work fine because you have high on the inside and low on the outside

the link above at procarparts.com has the kit with 100/90's or you can get the kit with the 50/65 and skip the wiring harness.

Can you expand on the heat issue? Did they burn up the housings? Burn up connectors? Fry wiring? I'm concerned because I'm seriously considering this, and your the only one who has brought up any worries.

Adapters are NOT needed (for a quad H4 setup)! However, you MUST rewire the plugs for the headlights (for a quad H4 setup). The wiring can handle the 'amps' no problem, it's just that the wiring between the H646 and H4 are different. Pull the spade connector out of the plug and relocate it according to the attached diagram.
After installing the H4 headlights I just plugged them in in, giving a VERY dim low beam, and a flickering high beam (not to mention the evil nasty glow of brown in the high beams when the low beams were on). It was only after setting another set of H4 headlights in my DeVille that I figured it out.

For best results I would recommend glass enclosures, not these cheap ones on ebay. Or at least ask the sellers on ebay if they are glass or not (who knows maybe it is). Don't let the gimmiks like angel eyes or otto whatever fool you. Glass is better because ot reflects the light better. If I was going to run H4's again I would run glass enclosures like Hella with PIAA bulbs and a voltage stabalizer which helps extend bulb life and controls heat. PIAA is also good because they have a range of outputs, I think from 2500K to 5000K, not exactly sure on that one. I used to run the 4000K ones at 55/60 wattage, nice white light.

Anybody know the difference between "euro clear" and "diamond cut"?
PCP has crappy descriptions of this stuff. The box they show has 55/60 on it, but the bulbs displayed are 100/90.
Maybe I'll fish around the net a bit more before I buy....

B: I bought the Otto units through PCP myself for my DeVille since they seem to have the best pricing (compared to eBay, where they hide the $30 shipping). The Otto units are really not that bad - I thought they'd be cheezy. They are nice glass, decent rubber boot, the 194 bulb seems 'pretty' water tight. They came with 55/60w bulbs, not the 100w.
My Camaro has "Eurolite" lamps, and they are better and worse - They LOOK better; the 'cut' pattern is nicer, and they have 3 fine horizontal lines across the front making it look like a lens is actually there. Since the Otto lamps are just clear glass, it almost looks like there's no lens!
Caddy (Otto lamps)
Camaro (Eurolite lamps)
The material is crappier though; plastic lenses, and one is cracked from heat. So I'd say the Otto ones aren't a bad buy.
