let me know what ya'll think....it's going to get a 1/2 a coil cut off the front springs to help get the front end down out of the air.

well...the wheels were free and my dad loves it...i did it for his christmas present.
JAMA is the name of our drag-racing ministry. it stands for Jesus And Me Always. the car is not a real iroc, so we aren't defacing anything.
well, you can think all the negative things you want to, but that car has 3 consecutve Championship runner-ups with the NSCA and won the chamionship last year and runs consitant 11.7's.

JAMA ministers to the racers of the NSCA, OSCA, Canadian fastest street car shootout, and the BTE/CITGO/DragRaceResults.com bracket racing series. we have 8 ministry teams across the US/Canada that go to the races WITH their cars and provide a sunday morning service, as well as cookouts with free food and just generally try to love on people without being TOO overbearing like some Christians of our day have become...try to meet the racers where they are at and to connect with them on a personal level. it's pretty cool...been doing it for 6 years now.

oh really, that sounds pretty cool. i am part of a ministry, but not involved with racing while doing it. i think it sounds like a good time that you go to the track have a morning service a bite to eat and race for the rest of the day.

that's pretty much it man! friday we come in and set up, saturday is normally testing and qualifying (except in the case of the Bracket Racing series...it's racing both days) then in the evening we eat, then sunday morning, we have a service, and 1st round of eliminations begins around 10am.
check it out for yourself! www.jamaministry.com you can get intouch with my father that way if you'd like...he's the "head guy" if you will...what do you call the boss of a ministry?

Again, I think it's awesome what your dad's ministry is doing.
I think the wheels look pretty cool. I liked the "cops" wheels better though. But I'm wierd like that anyway.
How's your ride doing? Any times yet?

mine....eh...lets just say the new motor build has been very educating....mangaged to accidentally install the cam 3 teeth off cam gear-crank gear...i know...i've already kicked myself. got 3 cam lobes and 6 pushrods...i've check everything else and it seems to be ok...took the valves out of the heads and had my machinist check them and my pistons....seems to be A OK, we'll see when i get it back together here in about a month.
regardless...should run some serious numbers when done, like low 12's, high 11's.

are you asking if i still have the 305 in the white car? no, it's currently empty, but will be receiving a 360ci sbc with aluminum heads.
JUST to clarify, the factory GFX are not referred to as "body kits"...they are GFX...(pronounced "ground F X")
yes, i used a v6 spring from a fully loaded 1990 Ralley Sport with the 3.1 and auto. then i cut 1 coil from each corner to achieve the stance i have today, in my white car with no GFX.
the black car still to this day has the factory v8 base model z28 springs...i will be trimming 1/2 a coil on the front only to lower the fender gap.

thanks to everyone for the compliments. just to let you guys know, the pics DO NOT do the wheels justice. i spent 4 hours with some rubbing compound cleaning them up and bringing back the shine. the camera/late afternoon lighting made them look kinda tan/brown...
also, i'll be redoing the JAMA-Z in a gold lettering with the IROC font...also, i'd like to try to find some gold z28 rocker panel and rear bumper emblems.

Nice change, I didnt like the cop-type wheels much, I dont extremely care for IROC wheels either (But that is strictly my opinion) and I think you did a nice job shinning them up. I have to get out and do that to my crosslace wheels... the lips are looking a bit dull. I have to agree with him though, the tires look a bit balloony, front and back. What kind of gear do you run with tires that tall?

the car has a powerglide and a full spooled 4.56 geared moser 9" under the car.
i think it's the pictures making the fronts balloon-ie...cause they are 205/70/15's...kinda hard to balloon a 6" wide tire on a 7" wide rim...the backs are 28x10.5 ET Drags...i can tig weld now, and i'm going to be experimenting with some wheels...see if i can't widen a set...anyone wanna throw a set this way for experimentation sake?

I think it is the picture too, just the one from the back quarter makes the front look big. From the front they look fine. The backs just look like that I think because the sidewalls are smooth and shiny.
