headlight pockets

hey guys

i have a 91 z28 that is white with the blisters on the hood are painted black with the headlight pockets painted white.

before long i'm going to have the car painted. what should i do paint the blisters white and the headlight pockets black.

what is the factory specs on how the car is painted. does the build sheet give any clues on how it should be painted?

factory it should have had black pockets and body color matching blisters (white in your case)

BUT BUT BUT...i have seen a red Z28 on ebay that had the black buckets and black blisters (custom of coarse) and it looked AMAZING. i bet you could have the same luck with black blisters/buckets too

and i'm not talking about stripes at all. just the blisters themselves being painted black

Yeah I'll probably paint my pockets black soon too. Finish polishing the Iroc grill, and then try to see how it all looks once I also paint the bottom of the car plain bumper black.

May look like crap, may look awesome.

hey nick

that pic looks just like my car except for the flip-flip on the blisters and headlight pockets. i agree a must for the headlight pockets to be black.

i think i'm going to paint the blisters a semi-gloss black along with the head light pockets

also guys what type of fog lights should i use ( factory ones are broken) go back with factory or aftermarket.

I would stick with the original ones. They look best. All the aftermarket ones look to Riceish for me. I think painting the pockets black and keeping the blister will look Welcome to the 91-92 Z/28 world. Best looking 3rd gen Also i would tint your windows. That would make a big diffrence. i agree that aftermarket fog lights look cheesy on camaros. stick with the stock looking ones. maybe get some sylvania silver stars. i have those for my head lights and they look amazing at night time. i just need to get matching fog light bulbs and hi beams and i'll snap some pics for ya. and also ya get window tint, i just got mine done earlier this week and i love it!
