New Parking Lights - SEAL or not to seal??

Have you Replaced your FACTORY (old, dirty, water condensation ruined) ones for new OEM factory ones again?

The problem with 3rd gen's is that the plastic lens cover has a hole in it to let out condensation and water that builds inside however this always ALLOWS water inside. Has anyone here actually BLOCKED the hole? I am wondering if blocking the hole would allow consensation in, and not have a way to come out and would quite ruin my brand new parking lights (which I have yet to install).

why dont you drill the holes bigger so the water has a better chance to evaporate. there was a GM technical service bulletin about this. it can be found on TGO here https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/t...ensation.shtml

Put two new ones on my car, taped up the drains, no problems. Got too close to a deer, shattered one and replaced it without taping it up, fogs up all the time.

Ok, this is VERY Interesting! You mean it's better to PLUG the drain holes? How did you plug it?

It's sort of a slot type deal, I just put some duct tape over it.

The slot is on the bottom of the light leading out the front right? You mean you can see a piece of black tape from the outside?? Do you have a pic of your car?

This area is behind the clear lens as I recall, anyway it's not visible from the front.
